Ted's Hot Dogs

11/19/23-Been going to this awesome, historic and must visit in Tempe for over 15 years and just realized that I never did a review for them and have been here over 100+ times. So many people have helped this awesome HOTDOG+ stand deliver over the years, the LONG lines sometimes tells the story, the food is THAT good! One tried and true staple and ultimate Ted's GRILL master and manager has been "Blaine"! So accurate, friendly and great to have a conversation with, especially when you haven't seen him in awhile. MUST GO!!!

Ted’s is soooooo good! They use really good ingredients and everything is cooked over an open charcoal flame. The taste is absolutely amazing. We have tried their hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, and fried pickles. It’s all very tasty. They cook everything to order, right in front of you and it just can’t be beat. We drive over an hour to come here and the food never disappoints. We usually get hamburgers and “The Split”, which is half onion rings and half French fries. The service here is always so good. They recognize us when we come in. Couldn’t ask for better service. The store is always super clean. It does get REALLY busy soon after it opens and stays busy for a few hours. You might have to stand in a long line, but it’s WORTH it. If you want to beat the lines then come right as soon as they open at 10 am. After you eat here go across the street to Joe’s for an Italian ice dessert. Perfect combination!

I just move here for 1 month and my boss recommended me that I can’t miss this place. Today I ordered everything that the most spiciest in their menu which I got Italian sausage + jalapeño + tomatoes + extra hot mustard. Even that, still not reach any my spicy level but so tasty as my boss said. The split taste good without any dipping which I love it. Love to look when they are grill each sausage and see fire is burning and move to next station for toppings then pay for your order. Because it was my first time. Ofc, I was being dork around and I love staffs who bear with my dorking order style and full of excitement. Love the vibe of this restaurant. Vintage, so clean because staffs keep cleaning all the time which is great , many seats for dine-in and since I came in until now. Nonstop customers. Cheers to owner and all staffs for their hard work to serve such a tasty meal for me and customers. Really appreciate it. Definitely visit again to try another menu for sure :)
