Las tapas estaban estupendas, comida casera. El lugar no es grande pero es acogedor y el servicio es excelente. Fueron muy agradables con nosotros. El precio normal.

On a pretty little street that goes up from the sea front to the Plaza Augusto Suarez de Figueroa, passing the Castle on its way, Is this small but interesting bar.
While sitting outside you can in fact see the Castillo - built at the request of Queen isabella and her consort Ferdinand, in order to encourage the local Spaniards to set up a township here, and discourage the marauding Moors from coming back. They had recently been expelled from the newly re-conquered Spanish mainland after 700 years - that's right, seven centuries - of dominance here.
The dominance in this bar is having a good time. A glass of wine or beer and some tapas will do you nicely - ask for the day's special to see what you get. It will depend what was looking good in the market just round the corner in the Calle Villa.
