Bistro Italiano

Threw in a request for Italian rest. close by and this place came up so we thought we’d try. IT WAS AWESOME! Jose was so sweet and I wish I remembered to take a quick pic of our meals but that wouldn’t have done any good other than having you running and I mean RUNNING to this quaint spot in the middle of the block! Look for the Italy flag and if the complimentary garlic bread and warm marinara sauce doesn’t start you drooling, you are certainly in the right spot. Fresh made pasta...espresso to die for...Go! that’s all I can say. GO!!

Cozy place with good food. I had the chicken scaloppini which was quite good, but wish I had gotten the spaghetti and meatballs after I saw the plates of food come out of the kitchen. The wine was also good. The prices were very good for what you are getting — so an overall 5 for the food, atmosphere, price, and nice staff.

I walked in to this place with my boyfriend Saturday night and we were the only customers in sight, mind you this was thirty minutes before kitchen was closing ( yes we were those people). The server was so sweet and tried to make it seem like we were still welcome, even though I'm sure she was swearing under her breath. I am so glad that we decided to stay because the place, even though off the beaten path was a great surprise. Staff was kind, food was good prices were amazing for quality and quantity. Definitely give bistro italiano a try!

Excellent value. This is a pricey neighborhood. Somehow this neighborhood joint has managed to survive and even keep prices very reasonable. It's small - a charming little townhouse in the middle of the block. Sortof easy to miss. And not everything is perfect. The garlic bread is sortof underwhelming. And a lot of the chicken dishes are sortof bland. But many of the pastas (particularly in their 'pink sauce' that you have to know to ask for) are great . Especially for the price. Service is good. Mostly I just love that this place is still here.

Excellent food. We went during a night where they were severely understaffed; yet we hardly noticed due to how hard the one server worked. Not a large wine selection, but the provided selections are nice and give a range of price options. I would highly recommend Bistro Italiano, and their Scallops al Diablo!

The food really is excellent and it's easy to be seated even without reservations. Our waiter was excellent as well. As others said, they portions are very generous, so you can take some home for lunch the next day. The only thing they need to improve on is the decor- it's got '80s lights surrounding the bar. We will be back!
