This place is a dive.. So - don't go in expecting beautiful decorations, or tableside service, or any kind of experience comparable to other restaurants. However, despite the sparse decor - the food is just wonderful. The cornbread is absolutely delicious ( We asked the proprietor what she puts in her cornbread, and she cheerfully responded " Lotsa Luv " - and we can taste it! ). You will not be disappointed!! * I have not ordered goat or oxtail in my visits *

Curried goat, oxtail amazing. Mac and cheese done proper. Chicken patty perfectly spicy. A local cell phone shop recommend these folks for the oxtail and they did not disappoint. I read some of the reviews that service was rude. Absolutely not. But if you expect the auntie to come over to you and give you hugs and kisses then keep moving. Food is very good.

I loved the taste the spicy lever was on point Portion of the ox tail and curry chicken was smaller than normal go to spot and prices was $2 more then normal go to spot & there was lots of hard pieces of rice though out also curry sauce have lots of oil very oily and good ill definitely try again maybe it was a bad timing...

Best oxtail I've had in years. Didn't skimp on portions, falling off the bone, delicious gravy. Curry chicken was good too, not for you if you don't like it spicy. Kristine seemed very nice to me, people that are leaving reviews about bad customer service must need someone to be over the top cheesing and kissing butt.

I moved down from NYC and have been on the hunt for AUTHENTIC Jamaican food, not the Jamaican food that's compromised so much for the customer (You know the ones that complain about the Curry chicken being to spicy!) It's supposed to be! LOL I ordered the Callaloo and saltfish w/dumpling & banana(hard to find in VA), Small Oxtail, Beef patty ,Small Curry goat & 2 drinks. I can say everything was very Delicious and flavorful! Kristine's daughter was very friendly as well. I think the only thing I would have to adjust to is she uses white rice instead of parboiled rice but that's a small ting. A Must try place for sure. =) Will be back
