Sonny's Bbq - Richmond, Ky

Just moved to Richmond for a state position. Thought I'd start trying out the BBQ scene, saw Sonny's BBQ pulling out of Kroger and decided to give them a go. I never know what to expect from chain or franchise BBQ establishments with multiple locations. However I'm glad I stopped, for $13.60 (added the extra dollar for all white meat normally $12.60 after tax) I got the all white half chicken meal with two baked sweet potatoes because they ran out of broccoli. What I received was two amazingly sized portions and two nice sized potatoes. The chicken was moist, flavorful, and cooked to perfection and the sweet potatoes were mwahhh baked greatness. I'll definitely be returning in the very near future, hopefully they'll have broccoli back in stock so I don't have to double up on the sweet taters!.... But hey, with inflation and supply chain problems plaguing food and grocery services/retailers these days, if them running out of broccoli for the day was the biggest problem, I'd say they're doing quite well for themselves. A+ in my book. Great job Sonny's! Very impressed.

As always, Sonny’s hit the spot!!! We don’t have Sonny’s where I live, so having grown up on ‘all-you-can-eat’ chicken just about every Sunday, it brings back fond memories to eat there any chance I get. Besides the food and service here at the Richmond location was great! We went during a time that they weren’t real busy, but everything was fresh.

Was visiting from out of state and got the taste for some good ol BBQ. This restaurant popped up first on google search so decided to give them a try. It was around 11am and place was pretty darn busy. The smell as soon as u walked in if u wasn’t too hungry u would be after smelling that Smokey BBQ smell🥰!! The welcoming atmosphere was so Lovely ☺️. Waitress was 🤩!!!! Food was Pure Deliciousness!! Haven’t been, Gotta Go😘!!

Call me crazy but when passing by Richmond, we stop for the evening and the only choice for dinner is Sonny's. Mama loves the ribs and brisket is my desire. We were exhausted to physically go out for dinner so the picnic was back in the hotel room. Definitely the biggest side container I ever saw. Please open a Sonny's in Caledonia, Wisc.

The family feast was my latest food from this Sonny's. It was huge, 3 of us ate two meals out of it. They have remodeled with a more open look. Their food has always been good & remains so. This location is above others in the chain in terms of food quality. Our waiter was new but was great. We did have a loose tabletop & had to move, sadly they seated another party @ it before we left.
