Omanas Tacos

So far, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in this area. It is quite inexpensive, but the food you get is top notch. You don't have to go into a fancy restaurant to get good food, in fact, this place is way better than many of its fancier competitors. I had the all meat burrito which was so tasty, and their salsas are very good (both green and red). I will be trying other items from this place and write more reviews. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work!

This place is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall joint. It opens until 0245 on Fridays and Saturdays. I would recommend their nachos, which are currently $5.50. I remember when these used to be only $4, but they have increased their price, sadly. They have a wide selection of meats for tacos and different types of combination plates.

I was craving tacos yesterday and my friend told me they're only $1 here and pretty good! I was super excited! I've never paid just $1 for tacos before! When we got there we found out... *** IT IS NOT $1 tacos anymore.....the price went up to $1.25!!! *** $1.25 is still cheap for tacos! So, I'm not complaining lol. When I got my food, I was surprised that each taco was wrapped in parchment and then all wrapped in foil. It wasn't until I opened the tacos did I realize why they do this...there was salsa EVERYWHERE LOL! I love salsa but dang...all my tacos were all over the place! My friend's tacos were all neat and mines looked liked it was rushed. :( I still enjoyed them though! The fresh chilies they give you are super spicy! Beware! The salsa they give you isn't spicy but has really good flavor! I will be back! :) After reading the reviews, I just want to let EVERYONE know... *** NO LONGER A "C" RATING...THEY'RE NOW AN "A"! :) So despite how run down it looks on the outside....you don't have to worry about your food! :)

I've Been a extremely Loyal Customer for 34 years same good ol place being a El Monte native I love it... If you dont know or have never heard of Omana's tacos you've been under a rock! These are the best tacos in there own way no questions asked.. mind you if your on a picky non greasy OMG diet don't bother going there because you are missing out on some a** tacos!! No doubt... it's been cheap and some for 34 years that I've been eating there!!!
