I absolutely love supporting small business, but this experience was unfortunately really bad. The hostess was super sweet, but didn't know anything about the menu or drinks. it took 10 minutes to find out. There was literally only one other couple in the restaurant, and it took us over 40 minutes to get our meal. My daughters chicken strips (which were more of a severely burnt tube don reading). My wife's soup was mildly warm, and my mahi magi looked like a piece of charcoal. It tasted about the same. Finally, the water is completely unfiltered and tastes heavy of chlorine. Though the staff was nice, they were extremely uninformed, and slow. I really hope that this place can turn itself around because local eating is far superior to chain restaurants, but this place has a LONG way to go, starting with a new chef

extremely friendly staff. we went when it first opened and the waiter was a little new, but the food was good....it did take a little while to get out of the kitchen. but, and we had great time in the old house they converted into a restaurant. we had a big party (bunch of kids) they put us in a "private" dining room, which was perfect. good. you should stop by.

Just experienced one of the worst Easter brunches we have ever had. For starters almost everything on the buffet was either cold, room temp, or empty. They offered biscuits and gravy (biscuits cold), chicken and waffles( chicken ok, eggo waffles that were cold and hard and empty syrup container), disgusting bacon and sausage, empty egg and potato containers, so on and so on. Owners wife was not friendly when you asked a question about empty containers. The guy making the omelets was very nice and the waitress was nice. Ranch dressing was good. Other than that, bad overall experience. The worst part of all was when the bill arrived and finding out the price was $20 per person, which was not advertised anywhere. We really want to a support this local restaurant but after five tries, we are done!

Where is the negative star option? I have never experienced something so terrible. It took an hour just to get refills on our drinks. Another hour to get our food. One of the cooks left to go buy more eggs. There was only one server and it was her third day. She was left alone on her third day! I feel terrible for her. When we finally got our food, I had a hair on one piece of French toast. The fruit looked mushy like something from a can. To top it all off, the server trainer apologizes from being late because she slept until noon! Just a frustrating experience all around. Do not eat here.

To be honest, I'm shocked that this place has a 3.7 rating. Before we even walked in, the owner was standing outside smoking a cigar which probably should've been a red flag from the get go. When we went inside their wasn't really anyone in there which may have been another sign. A little bit later, we were accompanied by the owner's wife who sat us down. My dad proceeded to ask what was good on the menu, which she seemed pretty hesitant to answer. She finally scrambled to tell us that the Crab Artichoke Dip was good and went down the menu from there. We ordered the dip which it seemed they forgot in the oven too long, when first we kept repeatedly asking for it and when it finally did come out it was burnt. The best part of it was the deep fried pita chips served with it. My dad also order the burgoo which took a bit to come out as well. When my dad got it, he said it tasted like vegetables soup. We also ordered the Seafood Skimpy, I mean Scampi, which was a bowl of dry noodles with a piece of lump crab and a couple of sun dried tomatoes. I guess you have to get drunk at the Brass Ring to enjoy what we had to suffer through. The people were very friendly but didn't seem to be in any hurry, and the food was horrible to try and be a small business restaurant. Bleh!

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten at, the manager Christina is rude and aggressive. Our server was hostile when we asked for anything, the food came out after a hour and a half and we found a hair in it, received another dish which was cold and we were fairly certain it was the same dish we sent back. Overall a horrible dining experience, do not go there. This place needs to be run out of business!
