Súper recomendable m’encanta. Bona presentació Bons Preus i avui musica en viu
Very good restaurant with good prices and service. Highly recommend!
Location and food - Citrus got both right! Our group sat on the 2nd floor next to the window with beautiful views of the street with high-end shops. Just before us were the famous Gaudi's brilliantly designed streetlights. Very clean restaurant. Food was spot on. There were several tapas which were presented - salad, calamari, squid, croquettes and Huevos Rotos. The olive oil on the table was delicious. I ordered the fish entree, which was baked hake with lime and tomato puree with basil and potatoes. It was delicious. Star dish of the night was the Catalan Creme Brulee. I desist creme brulee, but this one was outstanding.
The only reason I've not given Citrus 5 star rating is because - I asked the server if the fish served had bones in it. He said no, it's boneless (it wasn't!). Maybe it's all the previous dining experiences in Spain, that I was careful while eating and yes, there were bones in it. Other than this, the service was good.
Stellar! Incredible hospitality, excellent food, and wonderful wine selection. I had a duck breast dish that was perfect!! Must come back, and hope these guys will still be there next trip.
On our last night in Barcelona, we dined here for dinner. Sat on the 2nd floor overlooking the busy street downstairs!
(1) Fried artichoke hearts for appetizer
(2) Calamari for appetizer
(3) Salad for 1st course
(4) Fish was my choice for main entree
(5) Veal was my husband's choice for main entree
(6) creme brulee for dessert!
We enjoyed house White & red wine with our meal!
We were recently in Barcelona and Citrus was our favorite restaurant. We were there only 5 days and dined at Citrus twice we loved it so much. I had the most succulent and fresh fish there, prepared so perfectly and served over a bed of puréed potatoes that were to die for. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful! Service was great, wines were wonderful too. I highly recommend Citrus. I want to go back to Barcelona just to eat there again!
Great quality, good price. Very clean and sophisticated. Nadia, the waitress was awesome! My wife and I enjoyed the experience very much!
This restaurant was a recommendation from our hotel for good Mediterranean food and is located in a central area of L'Eiample (which was one of my favorite areas of Barcelona filled with lots to attractions and high-end shopping). It was described to us as a place with sophistication and impeccable food. Overall, we were very happy we went with our hotel's recommendation,
It's on an upper level which allows for guests to overlook the city, which to me is always nice for added ambiance. It's also an ideal place to take a date as the vibe of the restaurant is warm and intimate.
The service was up to par and you can tell they are there to make sure your dining experience is perfect.
We decided to go all out and try a little of everything including starting off with a pitcher of sangria (which was good but not remarkably memorable in any way) along with appetizers (including paella, which wasn't the best we had in Barcelona in which I recommend hitting up the little places for that), entrees, and dessert.
All the seafood we ordered was heavenly, I mean truly unique and delicious. Our dessert wasn't anything exceptional, but still worth trying (we went with the "Belgian Chocolate" which I guess was a generic choice on our part but usually chocolate is always a classic choice that doesn't disappoint).
The dining experience, ambiance, along with amazing selection of food (at reasonable prices) makes this restaurant a great choice for someone looking for a hint of "sophistication" in Barcelona, as the hotel brilliantly described this place.
Five stars, six people
Endless plates and full bellies
Zero bad dishes
Order everything!
Maybe a tourist spot, but
good food is good food.
Dropped in with family by chance for lunch. Great service from friendly and helpful waitress. Menu was varied with fine dinning dishes. The complementary glass of champagne was a nice touch and they used a very good champagne as well.
Touristy, but good touristy. The second-floor dining room looks out over the Passeig de Gràcia, right across from the Gaudí building, Casa Batlló. It's reasonably formal (linens, jackets), but tourists are welcome as they are. We spent our time people watching on the street below to guess who were tourists (Americans are SO easy to spot) and who were locals.
The food was excellent and service, too. Moderately expensive, but exactly what you would expect from a restaurant in this location. Dollars go so much farther these days, so it really was quite reasonable.
Definitely recommend it.
