The Bbq Joint

I got bbq (medium) brisket, baked beans, and corn bread. Brisket was really good, I would get it again. The flavors messed well together and the meat was really tender. My only problem is the portion size. I was expecting more but got meh. Baked beans was not what I was expecting, but I liked them. It's not what I'm use to when I think of baked beans. The bits of meat in it was a nice touch. Corn bread was not good. I didn't finish it. The bread was really soft, the top was dam near mushy and it was too sweet. I also don't mess around with everybody's corn bread or collard greens (Neiman Marcus I'm looking at you) and after having this corn bread I remember why. Corn bread can only go really right or really wrong, there really is no in between for me. To give a little corn bread context I really like Carolina's Kitchen corn bread, so if you don't like CK's corn bread give this corn bread a try.
