Chesapeake Room

The Chesapeake room is no the Chesapeake room and it's a good thing. New name is Ophelia's. We had a lovely Sat. brunch there. Menu was interesting, food was good and plentiful, service was good, staff was friendly. Place was too empty, people haven't discovered the change. Bottomless mimosa for $15.

I have only been here for brunch, but I have been very happy with both the food and the service each time I have gone. First of all, this place shockingly avoids being packed like most places on Barracks Row, so you can usually walk right in for brunch on Sundays. Also, the food has been consistently good. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles or the steak and eggs. I know my friend's have also enjoyed the salads and brunch burger, as well. They also bring a lovely large french press coffee to the table which is great. As for the staff, they are very attentive and friendly. For instance, after finding my oatmeal to be weirdly salty last weekend, they profusely apologized, promptly brought me something else, and then didn't charge me for anything. Also, my friend's food came out just a minute later than the rest of us and the executive chef personally brought it out and apologized for the delay. This place is a low-key gem, in my opinion.

Went there last Sunday for brunch- great food, friendly service with a smile and excellent value. Had two items off of the brunch special menu - eggs over andouille hash and the BLT - both were excellent. They feature locally roasted coffee- very good. The curly Maple woodwork throughout the place was beautiful. Give it a try- you won't be sorry.
