Bar Pilar

Came for Friday happy hour (6-8 pm). Cocktails are $10 and rail drinks are $8. Great atmosphere but service was slow. Didn't mind too much because we were having a good time, but did find it odd the waitress came to our table only a few times over the course of 3 hours. Also, 20% tip is included, which wasn't super clear on receipt.

Came by after work for dinner and drinks with a friend. Ended up sitting at the bar on the first floor - really nice and chill bar area - not too many people there when we first got there right after work. Started to get more packed as the night continued. I ordered the burger and fries and a few drinks. The burger was really good and the drinks were pretty good and strong. Overall it was a nice experience and I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu and their brunch and to see what the upstairs experience is like.

Bar Pilar is a narrow bar with an upstairs dining room. We ate downstairs in the bar. It's a bar, so was a little noisy, but were still able to have a nice conversation. Service was excellent. The food was fantastic, both in presentation and how it tasted. We had the roasted vegetables, butter chicken and a dumpling appetizer - all wonderful. The cocktails were tasty and had enough alcohol in them to justify the price. I don't think you can go wrong eating here unless you are looking for someplace really quiet. I never went upstairs.
