Really great food, with nothing coming close to the taste. However the restaurant has been closed for awhile and he’s still available but prices are too high.

I've a customer for more 15 years, and I have taken family friends and clients of mine to eat there. Very hospital and their like family. I love the Crocker fish with the tomato sauce, potato leaf, and the cusava. I was introduced to ginger beer at this very place and drink this healthy mix til this day. I miss going there

I remember enjoying their food when I lived in N.W. everything was delicious! Sumah and his wife Amara was always professional and friendly. I’ve read the reviews and it says they’re taking orders and the pick up location is Bowie,MD. As much as I love their cooking, I’m going to pass on that one. I’ll wait until the original location on 7th st. to reopen. I’m going order everything on the menu! Sending my prayers to the family.🙏🏽❤️🥰

The food was so delicious it made my soul smile😊 I ordered the okra soup, fufu, palm butter and cassava leaf. It was so fresh and flavorful, thanks Sumah for such a great experience. I will definitely eat here every time I visit DC.

They’re currently delivering only because the restaurant is closed but they are still dedicated to their customers. I ordered one night and they were closing soon so I said I’d call back the next day because I didn’t want to be an inconvenience. But the owner insisted on making my food and drove from Maryland to DC to deliver it (AFTER closing). Truly amazing and genuine people. If you’re looking for mouth watering West African food that can compare to your mom’s cooking this place is for you.

The food is delicious, a real authentic West African cuisine. Jollof Rice, white or brown rice served with different sources made out of Okra reach in Iron called Okra Soup, Sweet Potatoe Leaves and Greens both of which are very rich in Vits A, C & B6, Riboflavin and fiber. They have egusi Soup, Pounded Yam, Foofoo, Goat meat soup but above all I enjoyed the Cassava leaves the most cooked in rich Western African palm Oil.

Delicious, authentic food from friendly, polite staff. Very large portions. If you are new to West African cuisine, they will give you a sample plate so you can pick what you want. Seating is limited so we recommend carrying out if dining in groups larger than 3.
