Great service and atmosphere downstairs. The menu is really good value. The food was delicious and it really would be good to try more. It was so good that we went back a couple of days later and sat upstairs. We tried different stuff and it all tasted great, the prices are really good here too. We were happy to meet the owner who was happy to look after us. The dessert was delicious.

This not a healthy place to eat. But if you want great food, decent prices, and a great vibe then this is definitely your spot! We actually ordered too much food by accident...we took 4 starters to share but some of the starters were like meals themselves! (Nachos with Mac and cheese and cheese fries with brisket). The food looked amazing and tasted even better! The staff was courteous and attentive. 10/10 I would go there every day if I wasn't concerned about my health 😂😂 but it's definitely a nice place to go treat yourself. BTW I had brisket for the first time...it's absolutely amazing! I have no idea what kind of meat it is but it's delicious and I definitely recommend it! But don't worry vegans, they have A LOT Vegan options which are highly rated online. Edit: obviously we took the leftovers home and guess what? It even reheats excellently!!!

I’m casually scrolling through one of my social media feeds looking at different delectable foods. I come across a bbq joint that says they have a deep fried MOONPIE!! I look closer & it just so happens that this place is in D.C.!! Located in the heart of Adams Morgan at 2471 18th you’ll find @beerbbqbourbon !! . . . Being who I am…I’m not just getting a moonpie. By the looks of their menu I honestly wanted to get everything. For starters they have smoked chicken wings, smoked VEGAN chicken wings, Nachos (with nacho cheese, Pico de Gallo, Ranchero beans, and jalapeños that you can put turkey, pork, or brisket on), and breaded, deep-fried cheese curds. They have a vegan smoked pork roast sandwich, Sloppy Joe sandwich they call a “Sloppy Cue”, and of course pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. They have sausage, turkey, pork, and even vegan pepper steak plates that come with cornbread and a side. Sides include fries, fried okra, slaw, and sweet potato fries. For dessert they got a lemon mascarpone cake, and a fried sweet potato doughnut!! . . . So I copped a smoked turkey sandwich (pictured with pickles, raw onion, cornbread, and their Smokey Sweet bbq sauce $12). STAMP!! Everything Georges Schlim New soooo well with the sandwich. The The crispness of the onion, the tartness of the pickle, the sweetness of the sauce, and the tenderness of the turkey. Well done!! The cornbread, beans were decent. Next up I got the sliced brisket plate (pictured with the same aforementioned toppings but their Slow Burn bbq sauce $12). The brisket was flavorful, tender, and delicious, and the sauce was tangy HOT goodness!! Lastly I snatched up what I went there for…that deep fried MOONPIE!! STAMP STAMP!! Geesh this thing was good. It was a sweet, crispy pancake coated, gooey, chocolate, marshmallow piece of heaven!! THIS IS A MUST HAVE!! I have to mention that they have a couple full bars there , filled with the finest bourbon in the city!! . . . Customer service was on point (although they almost let me walk off without my sides, napkins, and utensils), online ordering was easy, the establishment was clean, but parking is no bueno. This place proves that you can totally enjoy vegan barbecue! The vegan sampler is a must try: pork, turkey, pepper steak and wings, all seasoned well, great texture, you are getting a truly delectable experience. And if that wasn’t enough, there is an incredibly vast choice of beers, including sours, friendly stuff, fun music, everything you might want on a night out!

This place is super mismanaged. It must have been recently bought out or changed management. The food presentation looks nothing like the Google photos. We got under salted sides and they were super bland. The meats came out seasoned, but cold. Cornbread servings were tiny and I got like a outer layer of a yellow onion just kinda tossed on (not the skin). The staff was trying hard but they were definitely overwhelmed. They gave us a discount and comped a beer, which was considerate of them. Idk what happened recently, but id suggest going elsewhere till they get back on track
