Cafe Deluxe West End

A clean and very reasonably priced restaurant that has a right angled bar and high top tables in the bar area along with a more formal sit-down area that is about the same size as the bar area. The restaurant is not big but they have a full bar and a very diverse menu. There aren't many vegetarian entree choices, but they do feature some side plates and shareable items that are vegetarian. The staff were all very friendly. There are several TV scattered throughout showing Sports.

Visiting DC for the weekend with my husband, and we just fell in love with Café Deluxe on 22nd & M Street! The staff was so welcoming and pleasant, the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and perfect for brunch. We sat on the patio and were served by Derwin who was also our awesome bartender, and had a voice so amazing that he should do voiceovers... just saying 🤷🏾‍♀️... anywho... the Cinnamon Apple Sangria and Sparkling Sunrise Mimosa were pure perfection. The Avocado Toast made an excellent appetizer to split, even though it's an entree, and it was DELICIOUS! It's made with strips of turkey bacon, and I normally DO NOT like turkey bacon at all, but Café Deluxe's preparation and pairing of it had me at a loss for words because it was JUST THAT GOOD! I had the Ham & Gruyere Omelette and my husband had the Southwestern Benedict, and the taste and presentation were both impeccable. Café Deluxe had definitely set the bar very high for other comparable brunch spots. 5 out of 5 would recommend!

Despite having that dot or whatever in my water, the food was delicious. I had a crab cake and my Mom had the sole. She loved the sole so much that I had to find out of I could get the food delivered to our place which they did. The hostess and the waiters were are wonderful. The peach sangria was tasty too!

After multiple flight delays and a sprint through DFW I arrived at my hotel 7 hours late around 8:30 pm. Requiring a down home classic meal, I walked the 1/2 block to Cafe Deluxe and boy am I glad I did. Being solo I sat at the bar and was greeted politely by the bartender, Jito. After scanning the menu I chose the Chicken Pot Pie and it was delicious. When initially presented I thought it might serve as at least 3 meals. However, it was a perfect single serving - much lighter fare than I first thought. The crust (which was thin, flaky and crispy) only covered the top of the bowl. The chicken was tender, the gravy was creamy without being thick and had a hint of sherry, not overpowering. Cafe Deluxe has a classic architecture, dark wood, with a professional mood while avoiding a jacket and tie atmosphere. Overall, a great dining experience.

I was staying in the hotel attached to Cafe Deluxe, so I stopped in for breakfast takeout to take to my conference at the hotel down the street. From the time I walked in, I felt welcome. I was greeted at the door, by a very friendly young man who promised he'd get my breakfast in under 15 minutes -- as I told him I was running late. He kept his promise. 😊 While I was waiting for my breakfast, I was asked by the hostess and three waiters if I was okay or if I needed anything. I loved it! Everyone was so kind. To top it all off I think the breakfast was the absolute best takeout breakfast that I've ever had! It was de-lish! 😋 Be sure to give them a try. ✅ Great customer service ✅ Fast ✅ Convenient ✅ Delicious I was so pleased I even tipped the waiter ... something I rarely do for takeout. The service has to be exceptional for me to do so, and it was! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cafe Delux is only 2 blocks from our office on 22nd street. We usually come here for happy hour, office farewells etc. Awesome place. Even best place for official lunches. Their salads and Salmon are awesome. They have special on Wednesdays: all burgers are half price. Their beef burger at half price is unbelievable. A. Must try. And good thing that their portions are big. Great place for after offoce happy hours.
