Matchbox

I went to matchbox with a group of 10 people for a happy hour after a tour. Their happy hour menu was really good but most of us ended up getting Hot Tea because it was so cold outside. We try almost the entire happy hour menu (except for drink). My personal favorite was the chicken bites. Our host was awesome. He had great energy and got all of our orders correct. I was supposed by how big the restaurant was. There is a ton of space.

Always enjoy eating here; they have one of the best happy hour menus in the District (DMV) area. The food was great and so was our waiter, my friend and I ordered the Matchbox Meat Pizza, the honey wings and fried risotto. Only negative I will say is that we pretty much had to seat ourselves the staff were sitting together chatting and laughing at a table. Though I was staying at the entrance no one came to sit us. I had to go to the bartender thinking since it’s happy hour the bar is where we will order. He said no and walked over to his co workers to let them know to assist us. Other than that we had a great time and food.

Stopped in for lunch. The staff are delightful and attentive. The food is absolutely amazing! This is the only place I've ever been to that serves a salad that does not taste like sadness. I absolutely love it! If you haven't had the blackened chicken kale bowl what are you even doing with your life? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pizza was good, sauce had great flavor, crust was light and had a great crisp from the brick oven. Fish and chips were good batter was light. Only issue for me was the fresh fish was set on top of the fries so just the heat from the fryers and the juiciness of fish made the fries less than crispy. Overall great service great food great atmosphere.
