Honestly Lebanese Taverna is top three best places to eat in all of DC. The food is always standout delicious and whenever I'm back home, it's one of the first places I'll go. It's my top recommendation for tourists. DC has so many cultures represented, and this is one of them. The staff are all so warm and welcoming, they make you feel comfortable. The drink options for wine and cocktails are good and it's a great vibe if you dine in. Even when it's packed. We had the mezze with lebneh, kibbeh, pumpkin kibbeh, baba ghanoush, spicy hummus, chicken, taboule, fried artichokes, and probably more. Thank youuu ❤️

Had a wonderful dinner after visiting the zoo. The mezza platter was delicious. Our lamb kabap entree was perfectly medium rare. Lava cake to end the meal was tremendous. I can't say enough good things about this lovely restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Lebanese Taverna on Connecticut Avenue in DC is a culinary gem that tantalizes the taste buds with its vibrant flavors. The chicken shawarma salad is a delightful symphony of textures and tastes, leaving you satisfied yet craving more. The chef samples offer a journey through Lebanese gastronomy, showcasing the mastery of the kitchen.
This location is well kept, well decorated, spacious and traditionally elegant.
The server, hailing from Morocco, adds a global touch to the experience. Their warmth and helpfulness elevate the dining experience, making you feel more like a welcomed guest than a customer. The ease of finding parking, conveniently located along the road with public options, is a rare treat in the bustling DC scene.
Lebanese Taverna isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a savory exploration that leaves you both satiated and yearning for another visit. The culinary prowess, coupled with the hospitable service, makes it a standout choice for those seeking a memorable dining adventure in the heart of the capital.

If you’re in DC and want to have an affordable, good, Lebanese food experience, then definitely come to this place. Not all the dishes are a hit, but you can find really good ones, almost as good as what you would get in Lebanon. My 2 favorites were the Tabbouleh Salad and the Sausages.

Good service, everyone was smiling and just in a good mood for working a Saturday afternoon! Got the chicken shawarma and it was very filling and flavorful. Mango lassi was also delicious, would get that drink again! A little pricey but was very worth it!

Came here for a party. The “appetizers” kept flowing - Hummus, Taverna salad, Baba Ghanoush, Lt Tzatziki, M’saka , chicken wings, fries and lebnah- all delicious. By the time the main course of rice dishes with meat came we were full but we managed to eat it all! Their pita is amazing. They have a full service bar, patio seating and complimentary parking in the garage behind the building.

A friend suggested that we have dinner here. It's close to where we were staying, and we love trying new places.
The food was amazing! Bring your appetite because the portions are generous, and there's so much to choose from. Definitely try the hommas. The kibbeh is delicious. I had the shrimp kebabs, and others had the chicken kebabs. All were delicious. Don't forget to try some of the Lebanese wines.

The place is gorgeous, the food outstanding. I used to treat my colleagues to this restaurant every year when I was in DC for a conference across the street.
So I was excited to bring my husband here on our trip. It did not disappoint!! As good as I remember.
I cook Lebanese food well, so this was a real treat.
I think it's the best Lebanese restaurant I've eaten at in the US (maybe tried some in 6 cities or so, including Detroit which is known to have a super large Lebanese community).
My salute to the chef & owner for staying consistently excellent & authentic.
