Pasteleria Fontenova

After lunch and a walk in town we needed some desserts for the next few days. This Pasteleria is just on the main plaza in town, easy to find. Besides Ice Cream they sell a good number of patisserie. Bough some merengue (baiser), chocolate cake, a crema catalana variant, a fruity cream patisserie and a cream-filled mini-cake. It was all homemade stuff, old-school (in a good way) and all pretty sweet. The baiser was nice. Not too chewy, not too dry. The crema catalana (eclair??) was nicely done. So was the chocolate cake. The fruity cream-cake was delicous. The last item, the cream-filled chocolate mini-cake was just sweet. Not really any flavours in that. But four out of five is a good number. Enjoyable little desserts for little money. There's another good Pasteleria in town. Also good, but more with a modern touch (check my review for that).
