Food was excellent and mostly on the spicy side. Baked eggs were sold out so we couldn't get those. Shrimp & grits and breakfast taco were great. Bibimbap was not enjoyed by the person who ordered it. Enjoyed the minimalist and earthy interior. It was very busy and we barely saw our waiter. He was working very hard. Jazz band was not overpowering and a nice touch.

I invited my financial advisor to meet me here in the evening because of my work schedule. The live plants, bamboo chandeliers and locally built furniture create a warm and relaxing atmosphere causing me to forget about the cold winter. The food was delicious- I ordered Duck Wings and he ordered the Beet Salad. Both were seasoned well with locally grown herbs and spices. The music was perfect for quiet conversation. Chef Abraham came to our table and introduced himself. He expressed his appreciation to the people of Toledo for their support. For lunch, if you are a UT professor or student you can purchase their burger 1/2 off with a current ID. You can also have private parties or celebrations here. I am adding Rasa as a welcome and rewarding experience for a Toledo or Northwest Ohio getaway.

We went there for brunch and thought our food - cauliflower polenta and avocado toast, plus their version of a bloody Mary and a mocktail - was excellent. The interior of the restaurant looks great and the service was on point, too. I'll be back... ...I have since been back a few times and the food and service have been consistently great! UT folks - they know how to handle tax exempt sales for PCard use. And they have a weekday 1/2 off burger special at lunchtime for us. Consider it your new faculty club.

We were here on Mothers Day for brunch and the food was just ok. Three of us got the biscuit and gravy and they were burnt on the bottom and barely warm. The ladies got the pancakes and one order was perfect and the other was burnt, as in black all the way around. I don’t know how they could send out two orders where one is completely burnt and feel good about it. Our server was extremely nice and didn’t charge for the burnt pancakes but it was a huge let down on Mothers Day. They said it has never been that busy before and the place was barely half full, that shouldn’t lower the quality of the food that much.

Chef Abraham has a way with vegetables. The food is fresh, local, and healthy but above all creative and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a chic and comfy vibe, thanks to manager owner Brent. It's a beautiful spot, for the eyes and the pallet! Bridges the divide between casual hang out with friends and upscale date restaurant.

I really want to give this place 5 stars. It has to be a 4 for now, but I will hopefully upgrade it at a later time. First off, when you walk in the door the entirety of the small restaurant is painted white with LED lighting just below the backrests around the perimeter of the seating area creating a nice ambience and clean modern look. They have a particularly good alcohol selection between mixed drinks, wine and craft beer. The menu is small but everything we had was good. We started with the Diablo Mac and cheese (listed as a side) and the bread. Although the Mac was a little pricey for a "side" at $11, it was probably the best Mac and cheese I've had anywhere. The bread was a very thin single round piece that easily snapped into pieces like a chip. It reminded us of something we may find at an Indian restaurant, and was very good, especially with the Mac and cheese remnants wiped on top. I had the Kimchi rice, which was a little salty but absolutely delicious and heavily spiced (I'd like to underline heavily!). My wife had the sweet potato steak which she liked the flavor of. It took a while for this dish to come out and ultimately was just a tad undercooked, which isn't a surprise considering it's size. I'm not sure how they cook it, but maybe a sous vide prep to soften the interior would help a lot with such a large sweet potato. Otherwise it's going to be a very inconsistent dish. Overall I liked Rasa and will definitely go back to try a couple more dishes that looked good, plus their brunch. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the sweet potato dish issues, and the server didn't come to our table often. There were 3 tables seated and there was a 10-15 minute period where both our drinks were empty. That being said, when she did come by and we ordered drinks they were delivered within a minute. Overall it was a really good experience and we will definitely be going back soon. I really appreciated that the "spicy" dishes were ACTUALLY spicy, and not just "kind of spicy". My wife also really appreciated that their made-to-order process allowed accommodation for different dietary requirements. If you like to try all the good places to eat in Toledo, don't skip Rasa.

Rasa is one of the shining stars in the Toledo restaurant scene. The menu is fantastic. I recommend the duck wings & chorizo hash when they're available. The decor is simple, clean, & beautiful. There are few places in the area that compare to Rasa. So glad to have them in our community.

Came for brunch on a Sunday at noon. 3 of the 7 meat dishes were no longer available. Placed the order and didnt receive the food for over 45 minutes. The tables around us were left uncleared for the entire hour and a half that we were there. The server was working hard, but you can't expect one person to handle the whole restaurant. The food itself was good, but we were so hungry by the time it arrived that we ate very fast and couldn't really savor it. Bill was incorrect when we got it. I wouldn't recommend this place for brunch.
