I tried to call at 6:45, mind you they close at 8pm tonight. No one answered the phone so I went up there it was 7:15 by the time the lady asked what I needed it was 7:23 and I asked to place an order and I tried to call and no one picked up she said they are about to close, I replied with “I thought you guys closed at 8pm on sunday” she then said “we stop taking orders at 7:30” I said “it’s 7:23 right now and I tried to call 30 minutes ago. So we didn’t get to place an order and IT WAS 7:23 We normally get food from there atleast once a week and my S/O has been going there for years. Have never had a bad review but today the lady was rude and simply acted like she didn’t want to take my order even if the time was 7:23. We spend our money else where.

I got the fried chicken wings, m&c, and yams. Other meal was smothered pork chops, collard greens and m&c. Wings were good, fried with no seasoning,( dip it in hot sauce). M&c were perfect. Yams were a tad sweet but great. Collard greens were a bit salty though. Overall enjoyed the food. Cute little corner kitchen. Food prices are not bad. Sundays are the best time to go.

I was very disappointed with my food. I had very high expectations given the 4-5 star reviews I read. I had the smothered pork chops, greens and dressing. To start there is no organization when placing your order. One woman was clearly disturbed that she had waited 20-minutes to place an order. You weren't quite sure where to stand to give your order or pick up your food. No one in back was really addressing anyone. They were quite busy. A couple ladies finally came out with pads to take down what you wanted. Back to the food, the pork chops were dry and tough. The gravy on top helped very little to moisten this meat. The dressing and greens had no seasoning. I love corn bread dressing and these had no flavor. The greens were bland as well; with no seasoning or meat in site. I feel like this food was cheaply made with no added touch to make it tasty and worth the money. I ate a small saucer of the food and threw away the rest.
