Mellow Mushroom Tempe

Wow! Our first stop for getting grindz in AZ and what a great first impression! I got the small (4x slice aka personal pan) and it was just the right size. I was torn between the Thai dye and the buffalo chicken pizzas and the bartender suggested I get both b/c here, you can get half/half pizzas, even in a small, so heck yeah I did that. Boy did I not regret it! This place has some absolutely bomb pizza! The flavors in each bite were amazing. Both pizzas were so good, I savored each and every bite. I ended up eating the whole pizza though I could have stopped about 3/4 of the way but it was just that good. Looking for some beer to go with your pizza? How about 48 beers on tap?! I had a quick chat with the bartender (again), this time about their selection. I told him I wanted a locally brewed hazy IPA. Her immediately suggested the Spellbinder, starting it was his favorite or of all 48 beers currently on tap. How could I not go with it? He immediately brought me a sample, without me even asking. That made me happy. I gave it a taste and a pint I requested. It was indeed delicious and went perfect with my pizza. There's tons of seating both in the bar area as well as in separate the dining room area. Am definitely telling everyone at work about this place for when they come to our AZ office.

Opens late. Great service! Two years later, food and service are still good! Updating my review after visiting this place one year ago. This time much better food and service. House pizza is amazing, loads of toppings. Our server is super nice. I’m glad we had a much better experience than last time. We ordered three pizzas for lunch. The house special and meaty meat are good, but the buffalo chick is very bad. It doesn’t really have much chicken on it, only slices of bacon. The service is good. Speed of baking pizzas is typical, about 20 minutes.

The food was incredible! but what really blew me away was the service. I had the pleasure of being served by Faith during my recent visit. Her warm and welcoming smile immediately brightened my day. Throughout the meal, she demonstrated exceptional attentiveness and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was enjoyable. Her knowledge of the menu and extremely thoughtful vegan recommendation when I mentioned I was lactose intolerant made my visit that much more delightful. What truly stood out was her genuine kindness and dedication to making every guest feel special. She is a true gem, and her outstanding service made my visit truly memorable.

Came upon this place and no regrets at all. They have a reverse late night happy hour that’s week worth it. The food here is excellent kitchen is open until 12 am. The best part are the bartenders Kendal and Harry, the most sweetest and friendliest guys. Kendall is the master maker of cocktails. He made my Rita as perfect as perfect can be. Thank you for making my first time in Tempe memorable.

This isn't a place I would normally choose to go to. However it was one of the only spots open and I needed to eat. I was pleasantly surprised though. It has a good selection of beers and the staff was really friendly. The food was good. The wings were awesome and the "pretzel bites" were more like "dough bites", but still tasty.
