My favorite game to play when I come to Dantes with someone who isn't familiar is to ask them to describe the decor. The decorator seems to have gotten lost somewhere on the way to "medieval", and landed closer to "pirate ship". But let's face it, you shouldn't be coming here for the ambiance. You should be coming here for cheap drinks, low light, great specials, and loud music.

Dante's is a UW dive bar with a lot of personality. They serve incredibly cheap and quite strong drinks, and have different specials on different nights. The staff is super cool and the vibe is pretty laid back.
Tip: Karaoke on Monday & Wednesday - $2wells until midnight $3 after.
