Mangino’s

As always, I wait until I've had a couple of experiences with a new place before I post a review. I've twice eaten here in just the past couple of days and I'm already very impressed. I started with the tomato pesto grilled cheese on a quick afternoon takeout run. The decor is beautiful and unlike anything else in the immediate area. The sandwich was fresh and clean, a point emphasized by the staff. Having thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich, I decided to try something more ambitious for dinner after work. I ordered the bolognese over ziti, and again the simple, clean ingredients stood out. You can always tell the difference when quality ingredients are used, and they certainly are here. The place is still getting going and as I understand will be continuing to add to their menu as well as all the neat takeout treats they offer as well. Overall very impressed and a place worth checking out.

A wonderful restaurant. Staff was friendly, attentive and inviting. Food was amazing. Soups were delicious, pasta dishes were very flavorful and generous portions. Desserts were fresh and satisfying. Atmosphere is quaint and interesting to look at all the details, both old and new. Loved the music playing faintly in the background. Can't wait to go back.

We visited Mangino's Gourmet Market for lunch. We were very happy that we did. The building restoration and interior decor is wonderful. The tile and woodwork added to the comfortable atmosphere. The owners, Chef Rick and Bonnie are wonderful. They explained the family history and ingredients used in the dishes we ordered. We plan to go back many more times. I can’t wait to try the pizza.

I went there a couple weeks ago, and my experience was absolutely amazing! The decor inside is beautiful and very comforting, the atmosphere of the entire place is great, and the food was delicious!! My favorite part was how friendly the staff is! This restaurant is truly a great addition to Schenectady, and I’m happy to see how well it’s doing already. I can’t wait to go back!
