Maxon's American Grill

Maxon’s restaurant is a welcoming oasis of rustic charm. Our waitress seated us at the window booth and was friendly and attentive. I ordered chicken wings of course and the hot sauce tasted fantastic as did the homemade blue cheese. The Mrs. ordered an inside out cheeseburger (grilled cheese on the outside of the bread!) She loved it obviously. Beer selection is good with many craft options. Will go again when in the area!

The best burgers in the area. My personal favorite is the Oh Donna Burger. The new Location is beautiful and so spacious. Jen the bartender is always welcome and makes great recommendations. Everything we’ve tried has been incredible. I especially love that they make their own blue cheese dressing to go with their perfectly sauced and crispy wings.

Service was good and food was great in person but not the same when we ordered takeout. I went in person and for an appetizer we ordered the short rib poutine which was absolutely delicious. We wish the dish had a bit more gravy but it tasted great and the portion was enough for two people. I ordered a Maxon burger( (burger cooked medium) with Mac and cheese and my boyfriend ordered the Oh Donna (burger cooked medium) with onion rings. Both were amazing and the sides were good. Everything was great in person. However we did order takeout during the week and it wasn’t as good. We ordered fried pickles, the maxon burger cooked medium with Mac and cheese and the pork ribeye with tots and the tomato bisque. The friend pickles weren’t super crispy but we expected that since we got it to go, the maxon burger was not cooked medium at all and tasted different than it did the first time we got it. The pork ribeye eye with tots and the tomato bisque were all delicious. The pork ribeye did not look visually appealing but it tasted great, very flavorful and juicy. Overall the place is 4.5 stars in person and a 3 for takeout. I would definitely go in person again.

My husband and I were out running errands on Saturday and wanted to go somewhere to eat. Searching Google to find a "restaurant near us" I stumbled upon this place. Just two words sold me to go here when I was viewing the menu: BLT DIP!! This dip is so delicious that it makes you wish there was more. We also orders Boneless Maxon wings and loaded Philly cheese steak tots. The portions were large and the food was so tasty! The hostess / waitress was very nice and tentative to us! We highly recommend this place! The Maxon sauce is so good on those wings! MAXON'S should make that sauce, bottle it and sell it!! Definitely going back!

We went just after the lunch hour so it was not super crowded. Waitress was great and let us hangout for a couple of hours with friends. No pressure to leave. Philly steaks and burgers were phenomenal. Atmosphere extremely friendly and staff accommodating. Definitely another trip there in the future.
