Witch's Brew Cafe

This was an unexpected find that turned into a delicious brunch stop. We planned to have lunch at the restaurant across the street but they were closed. The Witches Brew has old New England charm with carved woodworking throughout. There is a full bar and a separate dining area. I ordered the western omelet with sausage instead of ham. The omelet was 3 eggs and came with potato home fries and your choice of toast (white or wheat) or English muffin. The food arrived piping hot and buttery delicious. Only extremely limited street parking.

Great food! Tough over the phone service, I was confused by the menu online vs in person, because there were a few discrepancies. The staff who answered had a small amount of patience for my confusion which led me to question my own order. Turned out ok when I got there, but I didn’t like the way I felt after hanging up the phone. Food is good though. Hope this helps!

Such a cute place to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail. Stopped in with my bestie for girls night and we had the best time. Our server was Sue, she was everything you look for in a waitress. Sue was fun, prompt, funny, sweet, charismatic and ensured we had a great time. She went as far as putting on some of our favorite karaoke songs. Her support team Rachel ( another server) and the man in the kitchen, Victor were equally as awesome. What a great atmosphere!

We had an excellent dinner a couple nights ago at the Witch's Brew Cafe! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. We got the Witch's Brew Seafood which comes (sizzling!) on garlic toast in a delicious sauce with fresh veggies. Had never heard of seafood on garlic bread but we loved it. On top of that, our waitress Jackie was amazing!! Super friendly & welcoming, and gave us great insight about the area. Thank you Jackie!!! You deserve a raise! ❤

Stood outside waiting for someone to tell us if we needed to put our name in or not. There were a bunch of empty tables but it took them about 20 minutes at least to seat the people that were there when we first walked up. Lots of signs telling us we should have left.. Staff was rude and short with everyone. Ignored people waiting when they tried to ask a question or even put their name on the list. Other people left but we stuck it out. Finally sat outside, moved tables because one was dirty with food stuck to it. Got the paper menus and started deciding so the girl greeted then left. Menu online had way more options than what they actually are serving. When she came back we ordered drinks and went to order food of which my bf started and she told him what he wanted wasn't available until dinner then said I'm going to go and come back... Without telling us what else might not be on the menu right now or even waiting for him to say what he'd like instead. But we were pretty sure if his chicken wasn't on the menu, the steak I was going to order wasn't either. So we left. Horrible/rude service and practically nothing to eat. Got to Derby Street and they sat us in 10 min.

The food was ok, but for the price it wasn't that good. The drinks we overcharged for the amount and quality you get. Our server was nice, but we waited forever and our meals were brought out wrong and she walked away before we could tell her. I definitely felt like the service should have been more attentive for the price.

We waited an hour for a turkey club and a grilled cheese before requesting the check. The wait staff know the drill and you can tell. They started getting scarce and talking about the tiny kitchen as people got upset. Then the owner (maybe?), some older woman came out to "apologize" and explain to me for the third time how small the kitchen is. I suggested they not seat above their kitchen capacity. She threw her hand into my face and told me to lower my voice. Moral of the story: if you're reading this like i was reading reviews while waiting here irrationally long... There's an AMAZING brisket sandwich stand down the street. Look up kokeshi. Got my food in 15 minutes!
