Mississippi Catfish

Moved to Richmond about a year ago and have passed Mississippi Catfish countless time. I have been missing out. I got the 3x3 Catfish & Prawn combo with coleslaw and potato salad. Fish and and prawns were super fresh, the breading was 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽 ***chefs kiss*** and for under $20 w hushpuppies. Food was so good I forgot to take a pic. Value and quality hard to beat I’d venture to say in the entire Bay Area. Oh I waited maybe 10 min for food - super fast service and the folks were super nice!!

This place is fire! You won't regret ordering here. For those who like bland food I gotta say the food is really flavorful...made with love! The chicken is so good! Really crunchy with lots of flavor! The fish can be a bit more crunchy and thicker...but overall flavor is 🔥. Now them hush puppies.....its soooo. 👏👏... Man I ordered doordash.... Let me tell you the restaurant is so accommodating especially because the menu on door dash doesn't have everything on the menu...so I called in and the owner helped me out and we figured out a way to order what was needed! Appreciate that wonderful creole fried flavas! ☝☝☝

So damn good. You might miss it as it's right between a motorcycle shop (Pro J's, also excellent!) and a smog shop, but it's well worth the stop! Cash only and limited hours due to the owner's semi-retirement, but absolutely delicious! Fair prices and generous portions, the sides are all great and the fish is perfect. I recommend them to everyone and try to always take out of town guests here.
