Food was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Here visiting from Houston and I can say they definitely rival a lot of soul food places there... Catfish was hot and fresh... Turkey chops were extremely tender, and fried cabbage was mouthwatering... Must try this place out. Awesome atmosphere, jazz music playing, and additional parking in the rear... best food I have had in Richmond! Now it's time for a nap... lol

Tried this place for a late lunch. Small and nice home feeling. Tried the shrimp egg rolls, was not a fan soggy and oilly. Order the turkey chop meal with Mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. Turkey chops were tender and the potatoes were well seasoned. Order the fried shrimp as well. They were well season and fried just right. Also had the Shrimp Tea it was good. Will be back to try some other items on the menu.

Our first time while visiting from Florida we were greeted by who I believe was the owner. We instantly felt welcomed and at home. The food was good, the service was great. Definitely a place to visit again while I’m here for an extra week.

I was surprisingly impressed with Shrimps after my first visit. I stopped by right at noon on a Wednesday soon after they opened for a lunch meeting. The space was smaller than I expected but the atmosphere and service was great. As we waited for our food the place started to come to life with other diners and many to-go orders. Despite it getting busy the server remained attentive.
I ordered the fried crab cakes. They were really good. For sides, I tried the cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy. Honestly, the sides I tried were okay but not my favorite. Overall, I’d go back to try some other menu items. And if you are a seafood lover I recommend you give them a try too!

Great place!!! Enjoyed every bite except the crab balls I could taste the old bay in it... Other than that if you are looking for some fried shrimp or fish then check out this place you won't be disappointed.

I've been a patron for years...everything is delicious!
My usual go to is the wing appetizer, the turkey chops entrée with potato salad, and mash potatoes + gravy...Yes! Double potatoes because why not?!

My first visit to this restaurant and I must say the food was delicious and the service was great. The owner was very personable which is always a plus. A very welcoming atmosphere. I live in Florida but the next time I am in Richmond I will definently be paying this place another visit! Support this business. You will not be disappointed

The fish was delicious, and the service was impeccable. Do yourself a favor and get those collard greens! My dad refused to share one bite, so we ordered a second, and he almost ate all of that, too! So happy to see his appetite back!
