Port O'call

An absolutely beautiful meal here this evening! We both had steak. I opted for the fillet and my husband had the rib eye. We both asked for medium and they were perfectly done! Seasoned well and mine was served with Mediterranean vegetables. Didn't need a sauce as the flavours were fabulous. For desert we both had espresso Martinis 👌🏻 The staff were very friendly and extremely attentive. Would highly recommend ❤️

Después de darnos una vuelta por todo el paseo marítimo de Palmanova, nos dimos cuenta de que Port O'Call era el restaurante que estaba más lleno. Mientras varios estaban medio vacíos, este sitio apenas tenía mesas vacías. Nos entró la curiosidad y vimos los platos en su web y tenían una pinta buenísima a un precio muy razonable... Por último miramos en Google Maps las reseñas y al ver la alta puntuación nos decidimos por cenar aquí. Fue todo un acierto!! Podría decir sin miedo a equivocarme que, si no el mejor, es uno de los mejores restaurantes de Palmanova. Estaba todo muy bueno, pedimos varios entrantes y varios segundos y postres y compartimos todo... Todo muy bueno, el servicio genial, nos atendieron super bien y pronto, y el dueño, Max, estuvo super atento, de 10, se nota que la restauración es su pasión. Por último comentar que el sitio es bonito. Para ir y repetir.

Food was delicious. Service was great. The waiter was watching a Barcelona FC game on his phone in the rear of the restaurant and was very involved in it but this didn’t detract from the service received and made the staff seem more “human” which is rare in restaurants these days. I ordered the honey ribs and my parter the steak medium rare. Steak was undercooked slightly but I’m told it was still fantastic. Ribs gently peeled off the bone with very little cutting involved and they used just the right amount of glaze. Top notch!

We’ve had dinner twice in this lovely restaurant, it’s absolutely worth the prices! We’ve tried the specialty of the house (mussels in coconut lemon grass sauce), the tempura fried prawns, the cheese plate and the Norwegian grilled salmon. Every dish was delightful! The owner even brought me children’s “champagne” from his daughters birthday party because I don’t drink alcohol- these details really make a big difference.
