Chris’ Red Hots

Found this guy on TikTok and drove half way across the country to try him out. He’s quick and offers friendly service, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He had specials going that were clearly advertised near the window of his cute little food truck parked near a convenient intersection that offers parking right next to the truck. While waiting in line, his customers are raving about the food. We opted for a standard chili cheese dog along with 3 other specialties. Great combos! Who thought I’d be eating cereal and syrup on a hotdog? After the 4 dogs and a soda, I was shocked that the price was so reasonable. He even stepped out of the truck to take a selfie with me. Loved it!

I usually go to Tony's on Park ave and lake st in the park but I started trying this truck and even though they don't make hot chili they make hot onions so the trip is shorter and the dogs are great. I remember this Chris's Red Hots back in the 1960s and 1970s parked in Port Newark but i'm 74 and most people don't go that far back. Worth trying. Went today 5-16-22 had one mustard and chili and one with mustard and hot onions and as usual they were superb.

This might be the best hotdog you can get. First off. I think chili is the best topping. Good thing Chris has 2 types of chili. The spicy mashed potatoes are the best. I also really loved the breakfast dog with cheesy jalapeno eggs. Why would you ever eat a boring hotdog ever again when you can just come here. I'll be back next week
