Mixed Grill Cafe

While filming a few days in Nashville, our production made the excellent decision to choose Mixed Grill Catering! They catered both our breakfasts and lunches. Breakfast was a wonderful variety of delicious options, something for everyone. As a vegetarian, there were many options for me that were both tasty and healthy. They were also thoughtful enough to include vegan options. Lunch was the same but they were so kind and thoughtful, they even made me my own special lunch. Our days filming are long and require a lot of energy and having good catering is so important. I would highly recommend Mixed Grill Catering - great food & service - a delight to work with!

Food was really great. Prices are great for the quality that you get. It is not something you can see from main streets, but truly a great find. The menu is large and full of great options. They also have a 100% from the health dept and cater😀. Will be returning to try most everything on the extensive menu. Also friendly staff. Fountain drinks and bottled options.

I walked in for the first time and the owner asked me if I’d been here before. I told him it was my first time and he asked if he could make me something special not on the menu. He made me an omelette burger with fries and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had (and that includes dinos!) I will absolutely be making my way back to eat my way through their huge menu. Such a hidden gem! I recommend going in person if you want a near private dining experience. The staff is extremely kind!

Ok. I think it was the owner running the show at lunch time. I walk in, he goes " You like beef? You like chicken ? Yes. I got something really good for you! Something special. I said okay. Hey says " it comes with fries, you want a drink?" Yes. I sit down with my drink. Nice simple plain place. TV 📺is on some food show. Appropriate. 3 minutes here he is with the the hot food. Delicious. Like a fried meat pie/ fried sandwich peppers, cheese, beef, lots of sesame seeds. Gooey-crispy. He comes back " you like it?" Yes. I asked is it on the menu? "No. Sometimes I like to treat some customers to to what I'm eating. They have been voted Best of Nashville for Philly Cheese Steak and something else. I had a very nice experience. I hope you do too.

I can truly say that Mixed Grill Cafe is a hidden gem. Ever since I started working on Grandview I had been intrigued by the spot, wondering what it could possibly contain. The first time, and every time I enter, I am promptly greeted by everyone on the floor. I cannot say enough how much this impresses me. Just this simple detail alone so many places forget and it really just shows the class and attention to detail that goes into how well thought out everything is here. The Restaurant was clean, and I mean CLEAN. Everything is tidy and neat, the tables are always immaculately organized and spotless, CLEAN. Mounir (whom I'm assuming is the owner) greeted me kindly and I promptly ordered the most traditional thing on the menu I could find, among the more American fare. The Lamb Kabob with cucumber sauce. I was informed by Mounir that they also serve a Lamb Shank, which I'm also interested to try. The lamb was nothing short of fantastic. The seasoning was done perfectly, no gamey taste at all, and as tender as lamb can be grilled. Fantastically done. I had to go back for seconds the next day as well as to try the Stuffed Grape Leaves, which were tender and perfect. I think this place deserves much more and I can see a bright future for this restaurant. I would like to see more traditional food on the menu and less American food, but I suppose it is called Mixed Grill for a reason.
