A good atmosphere with home style Cuban dishes, appetizers and desserts. Coffee is good, food is fresh and service slams. Lunch time is SRO and everyone worships the collada and the cortadito. This is Miami, after all.

Everyone is so nice in La Carreta specially the manager Anay and Benito. They make the Cuban food be even better.

During my stay at the hospital due to my boyfriend’s surgery I had to go downstairs to buy us some food. Anay, Yoska and Rolando, specially Anay, she treated me with so much kindness and love, she made feel welcomed and provided me a sense of peace. Thank you, thank you and thank you.

The service here is great. Especially the mama her Anay! All the other employees like Yosua and Izamar are good too! Great spot to get food at while visiting Mercy Hospital

How this isn’t 5 stars must be due to the location (in hospital), size (not full scale) and atmosphere (a touch up would be nice). BUT! The food, service, people, and prices are 5 STAR. Eaten there about 5 times now and it is the best La Carreta restaurant in terms of food, service and portions. Why? Because they tell me its owned by the couple working it for many years. It’s their business and they run it with love. Wait time is super short. It’s a God send for anyone that grew up in Miami and has a patient at this wonderful hospital.
