The food was terrific. We really enjoyed the Fish Soup and the Crispy Brussels appetizers, but were particularly impressed with the Whole Branzino and Roasted Rack of Lamb. The branzino had a spectacular presentation and the fish and vegetables were perfectly done. The Lamb was incredibly tender and had terrific flavor, not even a hint of gamyness. The side fried artichoke was also amazing. My only complaint was the portion of lamb should have been bigger and that some of the smaller pieces of artichoke probably should have been tossed since they were a bit chewy. The Berry Bomb dessert was also well done, the coconut crumble and ice cream being a perfect complement. After watching the video of them preparing the Bomb on the screens in the restaurant we had to try it and it did not disappoint. Will definitely go back.

What I liked: how discreet the location is, feels like a private place. Restaurant looks clean and fresh, with a shiny blue tile. The young lady who took care of us was nice and NOT too present ( I hate when a server shows up every 2 minutes and ask if you're done yet when you're obviously not). Good vibe. Service was not too slow except for the dessert and check. It really took forever, to the point we had to go directly to the cashier (it was lunchtime) What I did not like: the tomato soup. Waay too sour and poor seasoning. It tastes bad. I agree with another reviewer that everything else we ordered was dry. Apparently one was supposed to pay a supplement for sauce, which doesn't make any sense in a restaurant... Offering some sauce with a dry meal won't hurt and it gives you a better image. Overall, it was good but not wow. I think of coming back for dinner though and try something different.

Great meal at a location close to the water. We tried the arepitas (delicious), the rack of lamb, the corn and avocado risotto and two desserts—flan and fruit bomb. Both were outstanding. Highly recommend.

A friend and I came for Miami Spice dinner and it was about what I expected. By far, our appetizer was the best in terms of flavor and presentation. The entree we chose was the roasted red snapper, and it was tiny and over salted. The guava roll with goat cheese frosting and Catalina mango sandwich were good. When we arrived, they didn't give us the Miami Spice menu, so we had to specifically ask for it. For what you're paying, the portions are pretty small and I wouldn't say the quality blew me away enough to be worth the price. Service was nice and the decor is very pretty and modern.

The service is impeccable. Its a cute design. They have many good dishes. I got the lamb tartare, chicken noodle soup, lamb chops, veal cheeks, octopus bucatini, and coconut tres leche. And very affordable pricing! Go check it out!!!

Amazing... flawless cuisine, quality and presentation. From the moment you get to the restaurant and Carlos Garcia (owner) and Hosman Bolboa (General Manager) welcomes you, you feel incredibly taken care. Hospitality it’s an attitude and the Obra family really know how to enhance your visit to the restaurant. Mariana took great care of us. We begin with the tequeños, best in Miami. No doubt. We continued with the kale, Brussels sprout, avocado, radishes and asparagus salad, with a tomatillo dressing. To die for! Next was the risotto, corn and avocado. Unreal good! Last was the tiradito, pineapple rum leche de Tigre and crispy kale. Michelin star dish. Believe me. Thanks chef Richard Ortega and Valentina entertain and showed their skills at the open kitchen.. Obra it’s truly the best Venezuelan/Latin restaurant in Miami. Period.

Reservations recommended. We lucked out and got seats at the bar at around 730 pm on a Friday. By 830 the place was full. The presentation of the food was more impressive than the flavor except for the desserts. Save room for the decadent desserts.

Obra was a terrific experience. It seems casual until you taste the food which is anything but. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and beautiful. The server, Sophia, was great about telling us about all the dishes etc. You do have to valet across the street but it's not too hard to get to. 10/10 would go back!

A wonderful modern take on Latin cuisine. Although service can feel a bit quick (read: American Cheesecake Factory style), the food is wonderful and the atmosphere enjoyable.

It should be 6 stars... Excellent is the word to describe the experience. The concept of this place is open kitchen - bar style, where you sit down in front of the cooks and watch what they are prepping and cooking. Also tables are available. Is a very nice decor with light colors, in an immaculate ambiance with a very professional crew. The owner-chef Carlos Garcia (world class) was in the kitchen the day we visited, hands on the kitchen. We started with 3 appetizers for 2 people thinking they were small portions- wrong- - Burrata Salad - very good - Brussel sprouts and Kale salad- this is one of the dishes that i will repeat every time i visit. -Sea Urchin fries - good Main course: -Carbonara pasta with octopus- just amazing -Fried fish (whole) yellow snapper, with tostones (fried green plantain) and green slaw; fish was bigger than expected, cooked to perfection. Dessert Pineapple upside down cake- more than enough for 2- with a perfect balance of sweets. Service is as good as the food.
