Sloopy's

I frequent this superb restaurant once a month as I love the special air that is outline this restaurant. The team is exceptionally loyal and skilfull. The service is awfully fast. Also, the food they serve is great. I frequent often and I was always joyful. The expense is fair. I recommend this place to to all.

I came in to town for a friend, I noticed right away the architecture of the building, rather nice and interesting design. I had option of inside or outdoor dining. I decided with current times to try outside, I was very impressed with the customer service and comfort of sitting outside. It was a enjoyable experience, amazing people watching area. The food was incredible. I have horrible food allergies so I inquired about the Panko chicken strips and if they can make another way for breeding. They were very understanding and made with flour instead. I'm super impressed they were able to accommodate me in such a way. The food portions are decent. The frys are some of the best I've had and I've ate frys all over the country. I'm coming back again for sure. Definitely worth every penny. You won't be sorry.

Burger with poppy seed bun was really really good, thankfully I ordered it for my girlfriend. I order the Ahi salad. Mind you, I am not from California, I come from New Mexico. Very far from the ocean comparatively. When you hear of seared ahi tuna, you expect the cold and fresh bite into your cuisine. This salad was disgusting, the consistency of the tuna was as if it was put in the microwave for about 5 minutes and thrown on top of a very warm salad. I asked for strawberry vinaigrette 2 times, didn't end up receiving it in my order anyways. Only giving two stars because the burger gets a 4.5 for me.

First time here was amazing. The venue is probably one of the most beautiful places I've been able to dine in Manhattan Beach. Food was amazing, I had the BLT sandwich and it was an umami bomb. The owner came by and made sure everything was great. I highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. Excited to return and try dinner.

Atmosphere was beyond my expectations. When you arrive be sure to check out the fountain with fish. Sloopy's has an open roof prividing fresh Air & Sun to you and all of the beautiful plant life inside. Food & Beverage was presented a bit sloppy, Coleslaw & Flourless Cake need some work. Service was outstanding. Staff was quick, and attentive. Thankyou for a wonderful meal.

Used to enjoy going this location before COVID shut them down. You won't mistake it for fine, high-end dining, but it's a great place to get burgers, salads, sandwiches, drinks, etc. Not much parking in this part of Manhattan Beach so this more the kind of place you walk to during a stroll along "The Strand" walkway that runs along the beach. Pricing value is probably a bit premium relative to the offerings, but it's the going rate around there. Of course, as of this posting (December 2020), COVID has the location shutdown, or so I am told.
