They don't do food! Tried pies once but they were too much hassle on match days.
Where else would you go for a pre match pint? Decent Holt ales and lagers. Sky and TNT. Smashing pub 😊

Great pre-match boozer. Once a very busy community pub in the heart of East Manchester industry but now much quieter and one of the few pubs left when once there were dozens in this area.

I came before the Manchester City vs Aston Villa and loved it If you want to experience a real no frills English Pub where you can drink beer 🍺 come here!

Really friendly pub and great, down to earth people. A bit of trouble now and then as to be expected, but the landlord makes you feel safe and welcoming. It has taken a while to improve the place but compared to this time last year, I feel safe and comfortable in this pub now. Landlord and staff will go out of their way to welcome you. Thanks guys 😁😁

Easy going pub on which Margaret and I always feel welcome by the staff and customers, the beer is kept well as too is the cleanliness and comfortable surroundings.
On and off I started frequenting the 'GROVE' around 2001 in which we befriended several people, over the years some have passed on and the Pub has always been well run by the numerous Managers and Chris the present Manager seems to be doing a good job as too are his staff.
