El Sr. Hernán, demuestra ser un gran apasionado de la historia, y consigue que cada uno de los cuadros de la Historia de España (que es la visita que concertamos) tome vida y te cuente todos sus secretos; sorprendente como puedes sumergirte en los detalles.
Sin duda recomendar esta visita si os interesa ver el arte desde un punto de vista de conocimiento detallado del cuadro que tienes delante, consigue que te integres en él como si fueras un espectador “in situ” de la propia escena.
Realmente nunca había visto explicar de este modo y como la pintura te puede contar cosas distintas desde la perspectiva desde donde la contemples. En nuestra siguiente visita volveremos a confiar en nuestro guía y ya amigo, Sr. Hernán. Mil Gracias por la experiencia. Hasta pronto!

My wife and I toured the Prado and the heart of Madrid with Irina on our first day in Spain, and it was the highlight of our trip. (We are in our early thirties and neither one of us an expert in art.) Irina did a great job telling the story of Spain through the art in the Prado and expertly made you appreciate every piece we viewed. The walking tour of downtown Madrid was also fantastic and gave helped us get our bearings.

Our family recently enjoyed an incredible week in Spain, starting in the Basque Country and ending in Madrid. We decided that having a guide to tour El Prado would greatly enhance our experience and had a particular interest in learning more about Velazquez and Goya. My husband had intended to book a tour before our trip but did not, so he called Private Madrid Museum Tours on our arrival to Madrid. PMMT made a special accommodation, calling us back promptly by telephone and setting up a Velazquez/Goya tour the next Friday morning. Our guide, Hernan Satt, a retired history professor, is truly a memorable personality. Hernan was engaging and entertaining beyond the likes of any museum guide we have ever had (and we have toured several famous museums in Europe using highly regarded museum tour services). We learned so much - Hernan managed to weave history, personality, story-telling, and true drama into all the paintings we saw. He even held the attention of our 2 twenty-something sons for almost four hours, no small feat.
During our trip, we were truly taken by the generous spirit of so many Spaniards. Hernan, it was a great pleasure to meet you, learn from you, and experience art in such a captivating and witty way! BRAVO PMMT!
Fabulous experience!! We had a perfect tour with Madrid Museum Tours. They were extremely fast and responsive from the start. So easy to work with. And our guide, Irina, was beyond knowledgeable. She was enthusiastic and clearly so interested in history and so knowledgeable about art. And she really tailored the tour to our teenage girls and our specific interests. I give Madrid Museum Tours my highest recommendation -- the entire experience was fantastic.
Irina gave me by far the most interesting and cool museum tour I have ever been on! She took me through the Prado Museum - where I had been several times before - and showed me things I had never seen before and would never have known otherwise. We focused on Velazquez and Goya, and she weaved the history of the artists' lives and their respective time periods into the evolution of their paintings over time. She made it feel as if like the artists were speaking with me through their paintings, just remarkable. Even the well known masterpieces I now see in a completely different and deeply meaningful way. I highly, highly recommend this absolutely fascinating tour!!
My husband and I had the pleasure of wonderful hours from Madrid to Toledo with Mr.Hernan, the founder of Madrid Museum Tours. He was very charming, informative and gracious. I say this because he shaped our tour to fit our inability to walk too much in hilly Toledo. Since the time in Toledo was shortened because of not walking Mr. Hernan took us to the charming town of Chinchon. He provided us with a lovely stop for tapas outside of Toledo and then in Chinchon in a lovely bottle of Cava. We highly recommend Madrid Museum Tours. Side note..they are extremely responsive by email.
