Mi sono messa a sedere fuori col cane, però prima sono entrata per sapere se fosse venuto il cameriere a prendere l'ordinazione o se dovevo ordinare al bar. Gentilissimi anche se sono entrata col cane. Ho preso le crocchette di diversi gusti: sanguinaccio e mela, spinaci, aragosta e tartufo, prosciutto, porcini, coda di toro, baccalà ed erano buonissime!

We stumbled upon Wainari when we could not sit down for lunch at another restaurant nearby (Aderezo). Unlike Aderezo, Wainari was nearly empty at lunch but we had to eat something quick. Wainari's "menu del dia" at EUR 11.50 looked quite appealing so we sat down.
We were not disappointed:
1. complementary salata rusa as tapas
2. vermut del grifo
3. omelete with asparagus
4. raba de toro (for us) and beefsteak with fries for our son
5. desert (cheesecake) or coffee
were all superb.
I can't fathom why this place was empty for lunch. Either all Madrilenos are incredibly spoiled for choice or Wainari somehow manages to fly under the local food lovers' radar.... Must be both.
