Sumo Japanese Steak House

Praying I don’t get sick from the order I just placed! If lines weren’t wrapped around the building of surrounding places to eat I would have left! The entry way is disgusting! Doesn’t look like it’s been swept in a while and my shoes were getting stuck to it. The seating area had crumbs all on it. The girl that helped is super sweet though! The guy in the back was having a good time singing his song with profanity! Hahaha!

Wonderful service and food. A very relaxed atmosphere, we were seated immediately. Chef Noah was very polite and kept a good conversation the entire time, all while providing excellent food cooked to our satisfaction. Very sanitary, and polished. Customer value runs high. 5/5 would definitely put this on my travel itinerary.

Outstanding, in all areas!! The food was superb. The preparer was great! My son, his two children, and me were kept entertained from the moment he came to our table throughout the entire meal. Our food was prepared to each of our taste & scrumptious. Sumo is first place kids want to go & our favorite place to eat!

Waitress and managers with bad attitudes. Handwriting receipts and charging for peak hour dishes during early bird hours. Our once a week visits have stopped as of now. It’s a shame too bc we really enjoyed Noah and his cooking. Make sure you don’t lose him Sumo’s bc your dwindling business will surly die if you do.

If I could give stars for different areas of service I would. The chef gets 5 stars, he was friendly and checked on us twice. He didn't have to as we sat at a booth and not the grill. The food itself was worthy of 5 stars. It was fresh, flavorful and plentiful. The waitress/service gets 0 stars. The waitress was rude and slow. She acted as though it was a huge inconvenience for her to have to do her job. We were the only 2 patrons in the place. As we were waiting for our food we heard her laughing loudly and cursing from the back. She never offered us drink refills nor asked if we needed/wanted anything else. As we were finishing our meal a party of 6 came in, making it 8 customers, the waitresses were MIA. The other party was about to leave, after an extended wait time, when they were finally seated by a really rude waitress.
