Donutology

Road Trip, don't stop, don't stop, Kansas City to see Ween. Sleep by airbnb, in the hood with adventures to pawn shops, restaurants, and accoutrement stores. We were led across the street for a brunchy Mary. As my weary eyes gazed in the future, a spirited shop slinging doughnuts swirled into existence. The children exclaimed with joy, as our next breakfast we lined up to doughnut-down. Some science themed decorations, a cutout for pictures as an astronaut and of a small line for grub. Never seen a menu so pretty, custom orders for the parties, gluten free and of course the standard shelf of 'noughts ready to eat. Choices made of chocolate with sprinkles (cake), sourdough, pineapple bomb cinnamon roll and some coffee with more, now stronger, coffee added (espresso). We sat and opened a box that should have lights, glitter or heavenly music to prepare the unexpiereced. Glory be, these folks earned a seat in heaven. Perfection in a fried pasty was achieved, the quest for better is likely to last longer than my lifetime. See you next trip

We recently visited Donutology and we were very impressed with the food and service. We ordered mini donuts, and we tried a variety of flavors. All of the donuts were delicious, but our favorite was the sprinkled. The donuts were perfectly cooked and were very light and fluffy. The flavors were also very well-balanced. The service at Donutology was also excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and she made sure that we had everything we needed. This was our first time visiting (we are from Nebraska). We also appreciated that the donuts were made fresh to order, so we didn't have to wait long to get our food. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Donutology. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. We would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a delicious and unique donut experience. We will be back!

Definitely a more expensive donut outing than normal, but my boys loved it. They have some good ready decided flavor combos and you can mix and match to make your own. The donuts had great flavor and texture. We did even get a kit to make the mini donuts at home which has a small donut dropper in it, excited to take it to Grandma's.

Walked in a and noticed quite a lovely atmosphere, they have a fun feeling the moment you walk, pleanty of seating their tables could use a little work on stability but overall a 9 out of 10 for atmosphere. Customer service was extremely on point 10 out of 10. I tried their mini donuts they have 9 different flavors and I tried them all. Trying somthing a little different so check out my videos for a rating on each of them. I tried their signature coffee blend a roasterie blend special for this shop and enjoyed it so much I bought a bag to take home. 8.5 out of 10.

Our family hopes this place NEVER has to close!!! I do many reviews because I appreciate those whom take the time to do so. The fact that I don't have any negative feedback says alot. I was a little discouraged the first time I went with my husband because they were already out of GF options. I believe that was also the only time we've been late morning and it was a weekend, no issue since. If you're going for that specific purpose consider calling and asking before making the trip. Besides donuts, customer service is their next specialty! I don't know her name, but we've had the same associate the last 2 times. She's personable, very sweet (pun intended), informative and professional. Our son has celiac disease, which makes fresh donuts a challenge. He LOVES the treats (donuts, cinnamon rolls and pop tarts - we get 1 of each). Our other boys enjoy the regular options just as much. For the options/quality the cost is reasonable; worth every penny and a tip (and I don't usually tip workers to take my order). The place is clean, uniquely decorated and has an inviting atmosphere. If you're curious about cost the donuts pictured below were $36. Keep in mind that GF is more expensive; no different than anywhere else. We don't pay much attention to GF pricing but I think they were around the range of $4-6/each. The box of regular was $20. The fact that they have a photo booth is totally awesome!!! BTW, it takes cards.

There's more to Donutology than seeing the "World Famous Space Donut" - incredible donuts, right here on earth! So many donuts are flavorful, but have so much yeast that a huge bite almost immediately disappears in the mouth. Others are really cakey and heavy, but taste like sweet cardboard. Donutology has discovered the perfect balance between the two: resulting in a delicious, satisfying and substantive bite every time. Plus, the eclectic decor suits my style. I highly recommend Donutology for your morning pastry fix!
