Malee Thai Restaurant

After trying the Massaman curry at around a half dozen places within a one mile radius, Malee Thai (which fortunately is also the closest location to where I live) is still my favorite by a wide margin. Unlike some other places, they add pineapple, which normally I don't love when added to savory dishes. We always order it at maximum spiciness with sticky rice and jasmine rice. My rating is based mainly on that because it's one of my favorite dishes. It's served with beef (although you can order it with something else instead), and although I'm not a fan of red meat most of the time, theirs has always been delicious since the first time we tried it here, so we've never substituted it with something else.

Finally, a great, authentic flavor of Thai cuisine. Try everything! Chicken panang, mussels, clams, pad thai, Tom yum (yummy!) soup, papaya salad, beef salad, fried chicken - we ordered too much and have no regrets. Service is great and food arrives on time. Don't expect a fine dining atmosphere ; just expect awesome Thai food!

What a delicious and satisfying meal...pad thai, green curry (as spicy as you like) and sticky rice. Many years ago, we used to order our thai food in Chinatown from this very same family. Therefore we were happy to discover they are now located closer to Waikiki, just across from the Walmart entrance. Highly recommended!
