Wow wow wow! We love this place. From the chicken skewers to the falafel and the bubaganeuslh to the hummus everything is excellent! We always grab a bottled soda from subway next door as their drink options are a bit limited and it has switched to takeout only. They are fast and the gentleman that always helps us at the counter is a joy too!

Top notch salads, both the Greek and tomato are fantastic and I always get the extra side of feta. The hummus and grape leaves are both very good and I love the fresh baklava.
Only take out for now and still cash only, but worth the minor inconvenience.

Tues - Chicken with saffron rice

We’ve been coming here since I was a kid.
It’s always so good. Portions are generous without being overwhelming.
The salad is lovely and the recipes are tried and true, fresh and tasty.
Sad that you can’t dine in there these days, but honestly the dishes are just as good anyways.
Hopefully at some point they’ll open back up to dine in because the atmosphere (and byob) was lovely with the Greek music they played and the regulars coming in on weekends

BRING CASH!
Thank goodness for this place because it's really the only option for miles for Greek food.
There is parking available in a small lot between McDonald's and the Kahala post office. If you park at the Kahala mall, you could probably walk here just as quickly.
Pre-covid you could enjoy outdoor seating but during the pandemic, I've only been able to take out. You could BYOB .
I always order the same thing when I come here; Shaorma, Babaganoush Baklava and Ginger Brew
The avgo lemono (lemon soup) and tabouleh are also worth mentioning.
If you don't eat meat, the Falafel and the Babaganoush are tasty.

We always get the Greek salad, hummus with extra pita, chicken souvlaki, fish souvlaki and mussel ceviche. Always AMAZING!!!
*We love using the pita to soak up the salad dressing. 😋😋😋
(I moved the tomatoes and cucumbers on the side in the salad pic)

Delicious food. Have eaten here a number of times and everything has always been phenomenal. The souvlaki (particularly the fish, but the lamb is outstanding as well) the tabouli, the baba ganoush, the hummus, all of the salads, the shawarma, the baklava, all of it. You won't be disappointed with any of it. Also a great date spot, it's BYOB, so bring a bottle of wine (from the wine shop next door), score some outdoor seating and enjoy.

Open daily for dinner at 5pm, take out only, and cash only. I had the Fresh Fish Souvlaki which was really tasty because of the Greek yogurt dressing: tzatziki sauce. The green salad that came with it was refreshing!

Olive Tree Cafe is solidly in my top 4 favorite restaurants on Oahu. Moved here from NY as a college kid, and this place provided a lifeline to Greek/Mediterranean flavors atypical of Hawaii's food scene. Fast forward to 2020 - the Olive Tree is a vital part of my family's rotation and conveniently, we live up the street. First and foremost the food is excellent. Vibrant flavors, and the quality is so consistent that I've literally never had an order get messed up or taste differently than the last time, EVER, in like 14 years of coming here. When the cravings hit, as they do every 3-4 weeks, our order is always the same: avgolemono soup, an order of half hummus-half babaganoush with extra pita bread, tabbouleh salad, mussels, and one chicken souvlaki for each person bc no one likes to share. The yeagantes, Greek caviar, ouzomisu, and baklava make their way in too here and there, as does the Wednesday special - lamb shank with orzo. (Omg I'm getting hungry typing this review) The charm of this place is in the vibe. It's a really chill, casual, neighborhood spot. It's BYOB, and it's first come, first served style seating inside and on the patio (although here and there you'll encounter newbies who don't know "the system" LOL). Also there is a store next door that sells wine and gelato. I've always wondered why the Olive Tree doesn't expand into a bigger space but I know I'd be heartbroken if it did and the vibe changed or the quality wasn't the same. Love seeing the familiar faces who work there and put so much heart into the place! 5 enthusiastic stars!

One of the best places in Honolulu to eat at. The food is delicious and healthy. Service is amazing. Ambiance is one of the best. There's something for everyone at affordable prices.

Great casual dining for Mediterranean cuisine. Food is delicious. Can be busy with limited seating space during peak hours. It's mostly self service. One thing to note is that it's cash only. But it's a great place to visit for some tasty Mediterranean food.
