Ye Olde Squire Fennell

Today was my very first visit at this restaurant. I have heard that their hamburgers are delicious and also give recommendations for their liver and onions; fish and chips; and chicken asiago sandwich. It usually takes me a very long time to decide what I want to eat, but right when I walked in there was a special menu that I just couldn't resist. Sandra was a phenomenal server. She knew exactly when to come back to check on us and constantly made sure that our drinks were topped up. I have recommended this restaurant to my father as he has monthly get togethers with his retired friends. I certainly will be back to try all the items I did not this time.

Update: I absolutely love the new patio! It’s the bomb!! What a great addition to a favourite restaurant of ours. The server Renee was awesome! Can’t go wrong with that type of service. We went for supper on Friday night. From the outside you would never know how loud it actually was inside. It was very busy but we were sat right away and the server greeted us quickly. The buffalo butter wings tasted like barbecue sauce with a bit of butter. They didn’t taste like buffalo butter flavour at all. It was way too sweet. I had a nice glass of wine and the dessert was as good as the other ye olde squires I’ve been to. It’s their signature beer mug brownie sundae. I could never eat the whole thing but my son was more than willing to eat his and the majority of mine. I would return but get a different flavour of wings as they do make good wings.

We recently held a retirement celebration for our boss at Ye Olde Squire on Fennell. We used the private room which comfortably accommodated our group of 80+. Trent was great helping plan the event, he was very flexible, offering us lots of options and sourcing items that aren’t typically on the menu. He was available for communication and greeted us warmly on arrival. Our servers, Cass and Patti, were attentive throughout the evening, properly balancing great service without being in the way. The food, (we had slider burgers, pizzas, nachos and beverages) were fresh and delicious! We even had lots of food to take home! Thank you for making this event fun and stress free!

We went this past Saturday to a private party , the party boy hired Freedom Train. BRILLANT.. If you haven't seen this band live your missing a great performance. Our waitresses were awesome we never had a empty glass. Unfortunately l didn't take any pics we were to busy having fun.. 4 years ago l had my boyfriends private party there, the space is perfect and private.

absolutely disgusting both the quality of the food and the manager. Ordered through Uber eats, but called to let them know about the order we received and the managers excuse was “new staff”. Told me to take it up with Uber eats and didn’t even want to listen to what was wrong with the order. Great job ye olde squire! 👍🏼

I recently attended a banquet for ACI which was held at Ye Olde Squire on Fennel Ave. I was not aware that they had a separate facility to host such an event. There were a hundred plus people there - the space was perfect. The meal that was provided by Squires was delicious; the timing of the meal, the quality and the service far exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious and plenty of it. The service provided by the staff was second to none. I highly recommend anyone planning an event to consider this location. You will not be disappointed.
