Coach House

We were a little bit worried about this one based on the recent reviews. No need to worry, it was a very nice meal. Very good, although not great. And not as pricey as I thought it would be. My wife had the filet mignon, the most expensive item on the menu ($32), I had a cup of chili ($4) and the Chicken Milanese ($20). All the items were very good. The only rather expensive item was my wife's red wine selection ($14), but it was one of their nicer wines and it was a good pour. Overall, a good place to eat while in town. It did seem a little bit odd with all the old people eating there (earlier than us, we arrived at 6p), apparently they are from the local retirement community. But there was also a rehearsal dinner group of young people that arrived as we were leaving. So they cater to different people.

Exceptional, our Waitress was awesome ! Request w/ reservation by fireplace was given. I prefer the booths with my husband, very private....they take your coats, bring them back to you. Love it! Would&will go again and again. Oh..it doesn't say Tavern & Grill anymore. Says Coach House as it should.

Best restaurant experience in a long time! Meal was excellent, service was amazing and everyone was extremely kind; the restaurant is very inviting and clean. So grateful to have such a high-quality restaurant option on west side of Hamilton. Thank you to the chef, Phil Wong, and to general manager, Leesa Cassell, and to all of the kind and professional staff ... thank you!

Please do not let the fact that this restaurant is in a retirement community stop you! It has gone through a complete makeover and the new operators/chef/team are amazing! The bar is a really fun place to have a drink before dinner. The menu is all new - make sure to try the calamari for an appetizer it was cooked perfectly! There is a large selection of typical dinners and amazing sandwiches. I am so happy to to have Chef Phil and his team cooking in Hamilton again. Brandy working the bar is a delight. We will be back often!!
