Hogan's Great Sandwiches

Haven't been here since COVID. Still a great place. Best sandwich I ever had in the US. Cuban and tuna salad are both good options. Good price and portion. 12+6 inches (total $16 ish) are more than enough for 4 people, so my girlfriend and I had to refrigerate the half that we can't finish in one meal. I was not familiar with the menu and ordering, so it took me quite some time to decide and order what I wanted, but the staff was patient and friendly. Yuengling beer was good.

Hogan's is a total dive...with great food. There's a nice variety of options and they are always generous with the meats. The prices are very reasonable given how much you get, and I've always been happy with the quality of the meat and toppings. Very satisfying subs. The local dive bar atmosphere might make the place feel a little less than inviting, but don't let that stop you -- the food is worth it. Be aware that they only take cash, but there is an ATM in the restaurant near the register so cash is easy enough to get if you need it.

Delicious sandwiches! Will definitely be back. Prices are great and staff is super friendly. They are cash only, though, and the ATM is iffy. Love the food though, definitely a local favorite. I’ll be coming again to try their other sandwiches! I’ve heard great things about many of their sandwiches, can’t go wrong with any of them.

Great local sandwich shop with the perfect location of being right next to the University's campus with it's mixture of buildings and amenities, as well as SEVERAL different off-campus housing apartment/condo neighborhoods that range from your standard 2 or 3 bedroom apartments to a more high-end style type of condo's. Now with a menu boasting around 15 - 20 different type of sandwiches to choose from and a beer license, you couldn't ask for a more ideal demographic of people for place with great tasting sandwiches that are affordable if you tried. Although the summer months may be a little thin for Hogan's profits, that lovely piece of paperwork giving them the ability to add a handful of different kinds of cold beer to their beverage menu with a densely packed population young men & women in their 20's for the rest of the year and you won't need a degree to figure out that Hogan's great tasting sandwiches and cold beer will be there for you to enjoy many more times because this place doesn't look like it's gonna be closing it's doors for several years or even decades into the foreseeable future

I've been going there since 1982. Seems like the sandwiches aren't as good as they used to be. Less meat. Thats why I'm giving it 3 stars. It's still nice to have a beer at the bar (they don't serve liquor). It has a loyal crowd of regulars most of whom know one another. They don't take credit cards but have a ATM that will dispense your money for free...all of which is irritating in this day and age.
