Taco Del Mar

My Taco Del Mar experience... I sometimes come here because it is so close to my job. That doesn't mean it is a good place to eat, just that it is quick and tastes OK. I just watched this dude who works there struggle to put on his food gloves for about 3 minutes and then asks me what I would like. I tell him 3 Tacos. Which should seem pretty normal right. Their menu mentions either 1 Taco or 3 Tacos... should make sense that he asks me if I want "4 Tacos". No I say, "Just the 3 in a soft corn tortilla please". Ok he says, "All of them???" Yes, I reply... All of them... He has trouble opening the twist tie on the tortilla bag. He takes his time fiddling with the tin foil trying to get the tortillas on them... I am worried at this point. I am beginning to question this guys mental ability, but I let it go on. I watch him put a huge spoon full of ground beef water on the first taco and a tiny little scoop on the other two. I mention the first looks like a sloppy mess, to which he replies..."Huh?"... Ok, I'm getting the feeling again...Strike 2. I tell him to put a little cheese on the tacos and some Pico de Gallo. He struggles hard with the Pico. I look at my watch, 10 minutes???he is placing little bits of tomato very carefully and taking his time but not doing very well. This is obviously more than he can handle. I tell him to have a nice day... My lunch break is almost over. A place that is this mediocre can't afford any more incompetence. His name was C****.

Taco Del Mar? More like Taco Del Barf. We went to the new one located on 34th and Williston. Actually the most disgusting burrito I've ever eaten. Staff was spazzy, extremely unprofessional, and slow. My burrito tasted like puréed maggots. We couldn't even finish them. My dog could make a better burrito. But on the plus side, the dining area was pretty clean.

Why did they shut down 3 locations in the last 5 months and only 2 locations left, i would drive to another city just to be able to eat at one because the food is the best mexican i have had and makes taco bell seem like garbage. Am disapointed the location in ocala shut down. Now i have to drive all the way to gainsville if i want to eat at one :(
