Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Main entree was cold. Side dishes tasted good. Food definitely tastes like a chain restaurant. Doesn’t have that smoker taste. The Carolina vinegar mustard sauce does not taste like the name says it is. Plus it’s too thick to be Carolina vinegar sauce. Tastes more like a traditional BBQ sauce. Prices are reasonable. Definitely not my 1st choice to a BBQ restaurant but when you have a craving for BBQ and the place you want to visit is closed, gotta do what you gotta do!!

So I normally really love this place, very clean and on-brand, they have amazing side dishes and very good brisket, but recently I was there and believe that I was served ribs that were not good/old. They were charred but didn’t have any meat on them either and they were kind of below temperature (which I ignored because nothing is ever hot enough to me anyways) my boyfriend bought the same thing and actually received a good rack of ribs, needless to say I became really sick.

Went there for the first time with high expectations. Was rudely told, without even looking at me, to go to the next window...I have never had brisket before and was curious to try it. I ordered a brisket sandwich. He took a cold bun out of the fridge door, removed a hynk of dry looking meat and proceeded to cut up a portion . Crammed it on a bun and handed it to another guy, who took me to the first window I originally stood at. He bagged it, asked about sides and BBQ sauce, and I left... Went home, heated it a bit, and attempted to eat it....It was tough and dry...the worst sandwich I ever had.... The entire experience was awful..will never return or recommend!!! Turns out it was the manager who took my order. Talk about horrible customer service!!!
