Chipotle Mexican Grill

Me: Looks like we have to make a trip to Erie on Tuesday [to take care of XYZ errands]… My wife: Did I just hear that I’m getting Chipotle for lunch on Tuesday? There are no locations close to where we live, so we only ever eat Chipotle when we have to run errands in Erie or Buffalo—and when we go to Buffalo, we usually choose somewhere else. So in our minds, trips to Erie have become near-synonymous with Chipotle. I was surprised to see so many complaints in Yelp reviews… Some visits are better than others, but most of our experiences at this location have been positive. If you don’t like dealing with employees face-to-face, do yourself a favor and order online ahead of time. Then you just walk in, grab your stuff, and leave! The employees probably prefer it that way too. Then everyone leaves happy.

People with allergies beware. The place is unhygienic. Meat and ingredients are all over the place between bins. They had meat tray sitting in front of the rice which caused huge chunks of meat to fall in the rice. Absolutely disgusting. All they did was say there’s fresh rice and swap the bins only after complaining. Disgusting attitude. Does the manager have any sense while directing food placement? This disregard for people with religious dietary restrictions and allergies in current times is appalling. Will never visit another chipotle again.

Online ordering is broken. Waiting 10-15 minutes after pickup time and watching people clear the actual line is ridiculous. That would have been faster the last 5 times I went. Also getting orders with missing ingredients. If I wasn’t paying for it I’d let it go, but there is a significant up charge for extra meat…last time barely enough meat for standard serving.

Out of the last 10 visits, only 2 of them the order was prepared accurately and with the quality you’d expect from Chipotle. I’ve contacted customer service several times but it doesn’t get better. The fruit in today’s kids meal was completely rotten so here’s a pic of what they think you should pay money to eat there.
