Sloppy Duck Saloon

This was my first visit & Ioced it! What first got my attention was a the memorabilia around the entrance. There's a little pond with live ducks & a special area with ducklings. I enjoyed watching them run around & play! There's a tiki bar too. There's outdoor seating out back which has a beautiful view of the marina & the bayfront. I was looking for a restaurant that has walleye & they have it here. It was excellent! I also got coconut shrimp & it was great! After dinner I got a mug of their coffee. It was really good & you can keep the mug! If you enjoy a great view, food & atmosphere then put a visit here on your list!

I had the Mandarin orange salad with chicken, which was fine but wouldn't get it again and the bf had the special which was ravioli with shrimp which was very good but I expected the portion to be larger. We sat inside and had a nice view of the water. We arrived around 5 on Friday so it wasn't too busy. Overall good experience and I would go back. Love the box turtles and fish outside in front of the restaurant. Free parking in parking lot.

I was super disappointed on this trip to the duck. Yes, it’s got a great location and if you want to have some drinks bay front absolutely this is a good place to go. The staff is very nice and accommodating - no issues there. What was not up to par was the food. We got the coconut shrimp which was pretty good. French fries were fine as well. We were disappointed with the nachos. They were basically nacho chips and what appeared to be canned cheese that didn’t taste very well. For what I’ve had at the duck in the past this was pretty subpar.

The staff was awesome! They explained the specials- which I had. The tuna taco was amazing. My mother had the chicken which was dry. What I couldn’t get over was the amount of trash in the lake and the fact the restaurant was contributing to it. There was nothing to hold the napkins down so when the wind blew you better be ready. Also as I was showing my mother the turtles in the water - the plastic straw (that I refused to use because I couldn’t believe it was even an option so close to the water)- blew off right into the water. You are a restaurant on the lake- at least pretend you care about it.

The Sloppy Duck Saloon was good. The food options were nice and the staff were good. The wait wasn't very long because it was 4 o'clock on a Thursday but I still feel like it wouldn't be very bad even on a busier day. It's a nice sight on the outside upper deck part where you can watch the lake. Overall good place.
