Happy Rice

GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICE I had the salt and pepper tofu and let me just say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Unforgettable, truly. That beautiful crispy crunch, the tantalising tingle of the chilli, the perfect level of salt. Indescribably good. I've ordered from them many times and my order has always been delivered fast, accurately, and by friendly staff. I simply haven't found a better takeaway in Edinburgh. If takeaways could get Michelin stars, Happy Rice would get five. Thank you for making my day.

I would rate it as solid in general and definitely worth it as a Vegetarian (we had meat dishes as well as mock duck ones which were scarily close to the real thing when crispy). I would recommend using JustEat purely to avoid confusion from the language barrier which I think might be a factor in some of the negative reviews and although they do deliver they are reluctant so just collect if you can. Food was the usual mix from a Chinese takeaway and although other reviewers are correct that some of it is quite greesy - it's takeaway Chinese at the end of the day! Some dishes were genuinely excellent, some good, some average. Again more or less what I would expect to find from a reasonably priced place. I will probably use again next time I'm in Edinburgh.
