Russell House Tavern

I love coming to this place with my friends. It’s such a casual comfortable place with really great service and cozy comfort food. I’ve even gotten to make friends with some of the servers there and I’ve never had a bad time at this place. The food is good and the drinks are good and most of all it’s a good time when you’re at Russell House. This would be one of my top three places in this city to go and bring friends both new and old.

I really loved the Russell House Tavern! There were multiple dining areas that made the restaurant feel grand. My entire group loved our food, with a special shout-out to the brisket hash from the brunch menu, which was absolutely delicious! Oh, and we got oysters, which were some of the best oysters any of us have had! Great all around!

This place is a must go to place. The menu in my opinion has been redone and the half chicken I had recently was unbelievably good. Good food, good beverages, good service and good desserts. Desserts. You must try the Russell House tavern, I have nothing but good experiences whenever I go there by myself or with friends so you must check this place out. Absolutely worth the money. The wait staff is very good and very friendly and they take care of you. Very good.

Definitely one of the nicest places in Harvard Square. All of our dishes were excellent. Don’t know why but we decided to start with french fries as an appetizer. They were hot and fresh and tasty. Having both ketchup and aïoli as sides is a nice touch. I had the faro bowl with salmon and it was a very generous portion. The salmon was a bit rare, so if you don’t want a little bit of sushi in your bowl, be sure to tell them. Hillary, our server, was excellent and attentive. We didn’t feel rushed and we were never wanting for anything. Will definitely go back.

Staff: Very friendly and accommodating. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Server was attentive but not overbearing. We placed our orders quickly and food arrived fast, too, despite the place being full (Friday night). Food: Good food, tasty pizza. We had the cheese charcuterie, the fries, and the pepperoni pizza. The menu could use more options (for pizzas or in general). That said, what we had was delicious and very well-presented.
