The Sunshine Bar

Not instantly visible if you just walk along the street but we'll worth going up the stairs for. We sat on the sun terrace and both had a double burger with cheese and fries. It honestly was the best burger I've had in a very long time. Cooked perfectly, juicy and with just the right amount of cooked onions, salad and sauces. Was hungry so tucked in without taking a photo. Only downside was we didn't have room for one of the delicious desserts offered. Pies are home made here...we may be back to try those too!

I really liked fun in the sun, the food here is great. The staff are friendly and sure this is generally grease spoon cafe food, but It is still very good. One of the major flaws of this cafe, is that it's out of the way. You literally have to walk though multiple other greasy spoons to find it at the back and up a stair case. This is a shame as I highly recommend seeking this place out. The wifey and I ate here several times. For dinner, lunch and breakfast, and on the whole I would have no problems recommending this place as a great place to eat. Breakfast, one day I came along to have the full English. Everything was good and filling. The tea and water is good quality and very clear. And the view is great here, especially in the morning. The wifey and I went for Sunday lunch. Fantastic and good food. The only thing disappointing here was the Yorkshire pudding, which was the packet frozen kind. But everything else was delicious and a good filling meal. As for the desserts, the trifle was a let down. While I Understand in this heat, it must be hard to keep fresh. But the trifle was make with canned whipped cream and jello. I don't even like truffle, but the look on wifey's disappointed face, I felt sorry for. So I wouldn't recommend. For dinner we had the chilly con carne and prawn cocktail salad. The chilly con carne was a little on the hot side for me. But I am a wuss so that is to taste,but still it was very nice. I would definitely recommend the roast and the breakfast. And also searching this place out, as having eaten in the down stairs establishments, for rate this higher than most of them. That being said the main draw of the cafes down stairs is the tv and matches they have on.

Always come here when we are on the Island. Excellent hospitality and even better service! Debbie, Shar and the whole team are amazing and delightful and will go above and beyond to ensure you have the best holiday every time without fail. Absolutely love this place, would 1000% definitely recommend. 🏖️
