Legal Sea Foods

Went here for a lunch date and had a good meal. The staff was very friendly, the wait time was short, and overall the meal was very good. We had flame grilled haddock, scallops and bacon wrapped shrimp. My only complaint was that the shrimp had a frozen shrimp flavor. I feel like this place is trying to be the capital grill of seafood, something it only very partially achieves.

Clam chowder was ok...Not fantastic. I had a few clam pieces that were extremely chewy. Waiter told us soups were made in Boston (we were in Bradford area) so you know right off the bat that the soup is reheated...perhaps days old if they do not get daily deliveries. Wife had the crab cake appetizer as her entree, it was nicely done, large chunks of crab. I got the fried seafood combo. The calmari was very tender although not really seasoned. The shrimp was cooked as far as you can cook it without completely over cooking it. Scallops were perfectly done as was the white fish. The fries, I suspect, would be fantastic if they were cooked all the way and hot when served. The service was great and he was very pleasant.
